One of the largest and oldest cities on Earth, Beijing teems with astounding historic sights and cultural landmarks that date back centuries – if not millennia. While the Forbidden City and Summer Palace count among its most famous sites, the city has much, much more going for it.

Georgia
There are two types of destinations. First, there are the amazing, hard-to-reach countries where a holiday costs a fortune, and then there are the easily discovered, cheap countries with huge crowds hovering around with selfie sticks. Oh, and there is Georgia. Amazingly beautiful, exotic, diverse, friendly, one of the cheapest countries to visit in Europe and relatively undiscovered.
Its capital, Tbilisi, is full of quirky buildings, sulfur baths, orthodox churches, lively cafes. Only two hours drive to the east brings you to the wine region with rolling hills and unique wine-making traditions. Did you know that the world’s oldest wine was found in 8,000-year-old jars in Georgia? No wonder locals are so proud of their wines.

Armenia
One of the cheapest countries to visit is definitely Armenia, a small country of around 3 million residents located in the Caucasus. But the question a lot of tourists ask is: in which continent is Armenia? This question is difficult as Armenia is situated bang in the middle of Asia and Europe, and it bears the customs and traditions of the two continents simultaneously. And geographically, it’s really part of both!

Freycinet National Park
The varied rugged coastal landscapes are one of the highlights of the national park. Parts of the park are rugged and pristine void of human interaction. The pink feldspar and granite and subsequent pink-tinted landscapes are one of the picturesque highlights.

Venturing to the top of Mount Amos to watch either the sunrise or the sunset is also a special treat. It is a steep climb, but the picturesque overlook of Wineglass Bay is worth it. Mount Graham offers similarly impressive views out over the bay, but the excursion requires camping because the journey is too long for a simple day hike.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Uluru, Ayers Rock, is the pinnacle attraction of the national park. Visitors from around the world travel to experience this phenomenon. Kata Tjuta, or the Olgas, is an added bonus, but they are visited far less than the more iconic Uluru.

There are several ways to experience the massive sandstone monolith. Another highlight is the aerial view provided by helicopter. The good news is this often provides a view of both sandstone monoliths. The helicopter does not fly a complete circle around the monolith because one side of it is considered sacred and photography is forbidden.

Although Kata Tjuta and Mount Olga are taller by 650 feet (198 m), this part of the park is far submissive to the iconic Uluru. Together, they are a UNESCO World Heritage Site for both natural and cultural landscapes.
