Our last little side trip before boarding our 2023 - yep, still behind in sharing all the deets - #virginvoyages #transatlanticcruise on #valiantlady was a stop at #monjuic in #barcelona. 🚢BONUS: It's right next to the cruise port. 🧳So we dropped our luggage off as early as we could - 9:30am - and grabbed a taxi to the station to catch the cable car. 🚖The cable car ride was smooth and long enough to feel like you were getting your money's worth. It also hadn't gotten crowded at that point. You hit those views, though, and realize you'd gladly spend twice that! We did not have time for the whole castle tour, so I can't speak on that, but the cable car ride itself was worth it. You can walk around the castle walls for no charge. If you're a planner, you could grab a picnic lunch from a local cafe and bring it with you or eat at the restaurant that is at the top of the hill outside the ride entrance. We decided against the restaurant because it was out of our budget, and we would be getting on the ship soon and could just eat at The Galley onboard. It was the perfect icing on the cake after all we did in Barcelona.

🥳This summer party island is PERFECT in mid to late September and October for beautiful weather and fewer crowds. May and early June can also be a great time with warms temps and sunny weather.☀️
🚗Renting a car and driving is a breeze - lots and lots of roundabouts - so you'll have a wonderful time exploring beaches and sites around the entire island!
🛳Like cruising? Ibiza is also a popular cruise port. Enjoy your port day exploring Dalt Vila (Old Town), touring sea caves, or relaxing on one of many gorgeous Ibiza beaches. [I highly recommend renting a car for your port day, too.]🚗 If you're lucky enough to have an overnight port stay, be sure to catch a stunning sunset at one of the best viewpoints on the island. 🏝
✈️ It's gonna be a looooong one! 🥴 Can't wait to see my kid. And I'm *sure* he can't wait to see us either, and it's giving him the will to continue. 🤣 At least that's what I'm going with. In reality, he's sad to leave, as I knew he would be. And #timetravel really needs to be a thing! #DeltaAirLines
