Leopards Like to Spend Time in Trees 🐆
The leopard is a strong and agile climber who is often found resting on a tree branch during the day. After a kill, leopards will often stash their prey in a tree to prevent other animals such as hyenas and lions from stealing it, and they enjoy the meal for several days.
It is not uncommon for a leopard to drag their kill 50 feet high into a tree. Their muscles make them excellent climbers along with their retractable claws.

Africa - You can see a sunset and believe you have witnessed the Hand of God. You watch the slope lope of a lioness and forget to breathe. You marvel at the tripod of a giraffe bent to water. In Africa, there are iridescent blues on the wings of birds that you do not see anywhere else in nature. In Africa, in the midday heart, you can see blisters in the atmosphere. When you are in Africa, you feel primordial, rocked in the cradle of the world.

///.msnr The beauty of Africa lies in its people. For me, the most beautiful and fascinating Tanzania is found on the savanna. I had a precious time observing and participating in Datoga people's life in Lake Eyasi. The Datoga are pastoralists, also known as Mang'ati in Swahili. They are the Nilotic pastoralists like Maasai, but they have their traditions and customs. Within moments, I was warmly welcomed and deeply connected with Merukta Banka's family. We danced, sang, fetched water, and shared many stories and good laughs. I instantly became connected and bounded. Seeing different cultures and meeting different people has the power to connect and bind us together more than almost any other thing in life.
This is why she travel. joine our team expedition to explore the Datoga way of life in Tanzania.
My favorite food is ugali. Ugali is made from maize flour, and it is a type of maize flour porridge made in Africa. But before I got my daily portion of ugali, I had to work hard to get the maize flour first. It was hard work pressing and pushing down in a repeating movement until the corn became grounded. I had the honor of grinding the corn with a stone that was over 200 years old. My lovely Datoga host Megiriri got the stone from her dead husband's mother, who inherited it from her mother.
These ground stone tools are used for processing grain and seeds. Datoga people still grind by hand using traditional techniques when they need a small amount of maize flour, but to save time, they go to the local village or town to use the machines to shell maize, as most people do. Small mills are essential machines for many rural communities as they eliminate much time-consuming labor. After the hard work, we shared a beautiful dinner under the African sky full of stars. Thank you for your greatest hospitality, my dearest Datoga family ✨
