Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge is one of the best Quick Service restaurants options at Hollywood Studios. The restaurant itself is highly immersive (even if you don’t know/like Star Wars - we don’t! 😲), and the quality is comparable to a sit down restaurant.

🎨 Epcot’s Festival of the Arts starts today through February 20th!!

We love all Epcot festivals, BUT this one is my favorite (followed very closely by Flower & Garden). The food kiosks have super creative dishes (that are usually quite tasty!), there are artists everywhere, plus opportunities for guests to participate in a super collaborative art piece. I only wish it were longer!

MagicBand+…… worth it?!

I’m personally still debating if they are worth the price, but I will tell you that my kids LOOOOVE them! They do need to be charged regularly, but they are comfortable, can be made smaller (like the previous Magicbands), and do have some pretty cool functionality with the statues.

One piece of advice - if you’re going to do it, splurge and get the designs. I did not and regret it; the designs come with additional lights and color patterns the solids don’t have. Oh well, at least mine coordinates with more outfits! 🤣

I was super lucky to be able to attend a webinar over lunch today about Royal Caribbean’s newest ship that is setting sail late next year - the Icon of the Seas! ✨

I have my own preferences when it comes to cruise lines, but I have to say, this ship looks SUPER impressive, and caters much more to younger children than other ships in their fleet. Sailings will be out of Miami beginning in January 2024 (the UK in 2023), and booking opens on October 25th. Let me know if you are interested in a quote (I’m personally super curious to see the pricing on that Family Suite!), or want more info!

Talk about timing… I shared photos of the Small World Nursery earlier, which is similar on all 4 existing ships.

THIS is the kids club on the new Wish!!! 🤩🤩🤩. (Thank you Shauna Goodman) Disney has already ruined kids clubs on all other cruise lines, but now I think they have ruined every other kids club EVERYWHERE!

“It’s a Small World Nursery” - If you have a child aged 6 months - 3 years (or any child not potty trained), you need to know about this place!

Our experience has been phenomenal- the cast members here are literally the sweetest and most patient on board, the facilities are super cute, and they tailor anything and everything to your child’s routines and preferences. Unlike the other kids clubs, there is a small fee (currently $9/hr), but it’s totally worth it for a nice brunch at Palo, a visit to the spa, or even if your child has a difficult time making it through dinner.

Let’s Start with “Hello”

Hello there!

Although we live in a very digital, and currently “socially distant” world right now, I think it’s always good to get started on the right foot. Yes, you can probably pretty quickly tell that I book travel for people, have 3 children, and like Disney... a lot, but did you know that I lived in Europe, am an Engineer by day, got engaged in Malta, and rarely give my kids Christmas gifts over $20?!

It’s all true! I was bitten by the “travel bug” when I was in college and one of my roommates convinced me to go to Ireland over spring break because it coincided with St Patrick’s Day. And from then on, I travel almost every chance I can. I’ve backpacked through Europe, been to Asia, honeymooned in the Maldives, and have a Bucket List a mile long! Rarely did I ever go to the same place; that is, until I went to a work conference in 2014 at Walt Disney World. Who knew?! Seriously, who knew that it would forever change the way we’d vacation. Since that trip, I’ve told my husband (who is a saint, by the way) that I wanted to work for Disney. The attention to detail, customer service, breadth, and overall strategy was a perfect match for my travel savy, engineer brain.

Since that trip in 2014, we try to balance our travel plans, but we make it back to Disney World roughly 2-3 times a year. We’ve been to all the seasonal events, stayed in almost all of the hotels, and eaten at almost every restaurant. The most difficult part of our trips are always choosing between our favorites and trying something new, because as you may be aware, there is ALWAYS something new at Disney. As much as we love Disney World, there is so much more to see, try, and experience, so we try to take a number of non-Disney trips every year as well. There is really nothing more than relaxing on a gorgeous beach at an all-inclusive. Over the years, we have found some of the best spots to go with kids, as well as on our own. On special occasions, my husband and I have even been able to “sneak away” for a few days without our kiddos as well, which is won-der-ful!
