🏰OBLIGATORY VISIT WHEN YOU COME TO MURCIA, “𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗱𝗼”🏰which dates back to the Islamic era, and nestled on an impressive rocky outcropping 149 meters above sea level.
Before the founding of Murcia, it must have been a rural castle where the surrounding peasants took refuge. When the city becomes the true capital of the territory, it is transformed into an urban castle, a true fortress and natural defensive watchtower of the Murcian emirs who resided in the city.
