Lovely dinner 🩵

Its been a week of work, so we celebrated today that we make progress 😍 Can highly recommend Mazi in Lefkada. Now we can go back to the boat filled with energy so we can put up the mainsail and clean the deck after all work that has been done.

Then we can go to sleep 😁
Tomorrow is a new day with new work to be done from the never ending list 😅

Bedtime story 💫

Today we made our own bedtime story with help of Sagospelet 🤩 The kids love to fantisize and in Swedish that is "Fantisera". One day when we fantisized together we had so much fun and it ended up with fantisize a new word for "Fantisera" that was Fanta Zero.

I love these little moments when I get to Fanta Zero together with the kids 🥰 I think I had less of them in our old life. I have more time now and Im so happy that I can share these moments laughing with the kids 🥰

How do you get a bigger sprayhood using your old one? 😎

We ordered two extension parts on each side, see picture 2 and 3, and moved the fixing point backwards. Today we got it measured so we are really looking forward to the result in some week 😀

One day Nils juat sat down and wrote and wrote and wrote. 😊 This is lovely reading for us parents that of course had concerns if the kids would adopt and like this lifestyle. Nils sure do 🥰⛵️

Blockage in the pipes!
As you know, we bought two new toilets some weeks ago and made our prayes that we wouldnt need more toiletwork for a while. But NO, yesterday we got blockage in the pipes so Niklas accumulated some energy (got some massage by me 🥰) and then he went there to have a look. As you can see the pipes has not been changed last 15years and this is the result of urine and saltwater.

Now we have bought some new pipes and the toilet is fixed at least for today. I guess we will see more problem tomorrow. It seems to be a never ending story with things to fix!

Swimming 💦
Our 2 years old Erik has started to swim after 3 months of living on the boat. Its amazing to se how the kids develop their swimming skills 💕

Ready with the bucket 🤮
Today after lunch Erik threw up, so now we sit here on the transom with the bucket ready and watch the rest of the family members (so called fishes) snorkeling around in the 32C warm water. Erik is alert and playing, so I hope this was just a one-time thing.🤞

Love of reading!
When we were in Sweden, Oscar loved to read comic books. Here on the boat it has changed, partly because he couldn't bring his 300+ comic books 🙈 But maybe also because he have a lot of opportunities to read here.

On a normal day here he reads at least an entire Lasse Maja book during the day, reads for his brothers (this time Saltkråkan that we got from boatneighbors, thanks ❤️) and then in the evening reads a chapter in Bröderna Lejonhjärta (We usually read every other chapter). Here he lies quietly in his room until 11.30pm when we parents go to sleep and says it's time to turn off the light.

I think it's so wonderful to see how he has such a love of reading. ❤️ I myself remember when I used to read books in the summer!

If he continues at this rate, we will soon have to replace all the books on the boat, because soon he would have read them all twice 🤣

Anyone knows about a book changing shelf with kids/youth books in Ionian? Or another Swedish boat that wants to change books?

P.s. Oscar greets his teacher : "Now I think Ulrika will be happy when she sees that I'm reading books" 🥰

Fulltimefamily ❤️

One of the reasons why we sold our house and moved into our boat. We put the family first, we want more time together, we want to say YES to our kids.
After 2 months of living this life we have had a lot of boatwork but we still can see some changes ❤️ we hope for more when we have less boatwork and more time for the family ❤️

📍Kalamos, Port Leone, Greece
Now when the hardtop is installed and we are waiting for the canvas we have some time to explore again! We love it 🥰
So now we are in Port Leone, a bay with various anchoring berth. It was great earthquakes here in 1953 and water supply in Leon was destroyed and the village was abandoned. The yellow church is the only building that was restored and kept in a good shape. The ruins of an old small olive oil mill is also quite interesting to explore! 😎

📍Sivota, Lefkada

Short stop in Sivota on the way back to Nidri.
Cozy town with many restaurant pontons (if you eat at their restaurant you can stay on the ponton for free)
We went on anchor this time so we could swim and play in the water 🏊‍♀️and had a pork pita for dinner 😋

🐎Hästar 🐎

Senaste tiden har handlat mycket om antal hästar och hästkrafter! Det följde med en jollemotor på 2.3hk när vi köpte båten men den är lite för liten för att transportera oss alla fem. Den fungerar men jollen är som vår bil, vårt transportmedel mellan båten och land då vi mest kommer ligga på svaj framöver. Så vi bestämde oss för att köpa en ny med 20hk 🐎.

Varje gång det passerat en båt har Nils kikat på hur många hästkrafter den båten har och ju mer desto coolare enligt honom 😎 den modellen vi ville köpa fanns i svart och silver och barnen bestämde silver (vilket även är Nils favoritfärg) 🤩

Nu är barnen dunderladdade för första turen! De är dock barnens tur att testa sitt tålamod först. Motorn ska köras in på 15min tomgång sen återstår 10h körning innan barnen får känna på 20hk 😀

Motorservice🪛 = poolhäng!🏊‍♀️

När vi köpte båten märkte vi att motorn inte riktigt gick upp i de varvtal den skulle och när vi gasade på så kom svart rök ut från motorn 🌪🌑😨

Det är högsäsong här nere så vi har inte kunnat få någon att kika på motorn förrän igår och idag. Vi hängde vid poolen och vi blir imponerade över barnen som sysselsätter sig med egna lekar. Idag hittade de rutor på golvet och körde 3 i rad med ringar och simglasögon 😍

När vi kom tillbaka till båten fick vi en lista med saker som behöver bytas samt en faktura att betala 💰😅

🚩Det mest alarmerande var väl att turbon är full med sot så den togs bort för att skickas till en specialist. Tar uppskattningsvis 10 dagar så vi blir liggandes här på pontonen tills dess.

Tur det är fint väder och det finns strand, pool och affärer 🙂 Eller som denna livsstil så fint heter "Fixing your boat in beautiful locations" 😍

Long lines ashore ⚓️

Så har vi provat att ligga med "long lines ashore". Vi hittade en fin vik, la i ankaret i stäven och sen fick Niklas ta jollen in till land med två linor. Anledningen till att man ligger såhär är att viken är för djup för att ligga på svaj i, iallafall för oss som just nu har 50m ankarlina. (Vi har beställt en ny och längre).

Det var iallafall supermysigt! Det var ca 3m djup där vi låg och kanske 10-20m in till stranden så barnen simmade/SUPade in. Linorna till land gick även kors med grannbåten som också hade barn ombord så barnen använde linorna till att dra sig till varandra.

Det blev några nätter här, sen tog batteriladdningen i båten slt och kylen la av vilket gjorde att vi fick röra på oss.

Men det är definitivt något vi gör igen 😊⚓️👍

En kväll på stranden 🏖

Barnen har hittat varandra och leker för fullt. Erik är minst på 2år och den äldsta är 13år. De andra två familjerna är från England och jag märker hur barnen snappar upp ord för varje dag som går och frågar "Mamma, hur säger man får jag vara med på Engelska?"

En av de andra familjerna har bott på båt i 5år med sina barn och träffat andra icke engelskspråkiga familjer och säger att det tar ca 3månader för barnen sen leker de fullt ut på Engelska. Ganska häftigt hur barn lär sig genom att leka och uppleva saker tilldammans! Ska bli spännande att följa barnens utvecklingsresa 📈
