Yesterday we cut sod for construction to begin on a First Sky Group housing project to relocate a good number of my 12,000 beloved displaced constituents.

First Sky’s subsidiary known as Construction Ambassadors are executing the project which they promise to complete in record time.

As our contribution, we are offering free land at all agreed three locations.

Additionally, we stand ready to provide communal labour support.

The relocation will begin to restore the dignity of my beloved constituents, ensure they live in much healthier conditions, and free the 21 schools being used as safe havens so our children can return to school.

North Tongu shall never forget the generosity and humanity of the First Sky Group.

May God bless you all bountifully.

Together, we shall survive this man-made disaster.

ANLO CHIEFS MOURN WITH FORMER PRESIDENT KUFUOR

Several Anlo Kingdom Chiefs including Miafiaga Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, Awadada Togbi Agbesi Awusu II, and Dusifiaga Togbi Gbordzor III on behalf of the Awoamefia Togbi Sri III on Monday paid a courtesy call on former President of Ghana John Agyekum Kufuor at his Peduase residence, Aburi to commiserate with him on the passing of his wife, Mrs. Theresa Kufuor.

The Former First Lady Mrs Theresa Kufour who passed away on October 1 2023, was a past student of Keta OLA Convent School. In Keta, she grew up with and had an excellent relationship with the Tamakloe family. Also, she led the government delegation to the funeral of the late Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe IV. This time around, accompanying the Anlo chiefs delegation were Mr. Gilbert Tamakloe and Mr. Leslie Mensah Tamakloe, two of the adult children of Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe IV.

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa successfully launched the MP's Mobile Relief Caravan yesterday.

The MP and with his team have developed an effective distribution system to ensure that all 19 camps for displaced persons in North Tongu constituency regularly receive much needed relief items without bottlenecks.

The MP's office has secured a relief package comprising bags of rice, maize, sugar, cooking oil, canned fish, mosquito nets, detergents, tissues, mosquito repellents, sanitary towels, life jackets and tissues for onward distribution to all camps.

The 10,000 displaced constituents remain dear to the hearts of the NDC and shall not be abandoned.

The MP pledged to be with the victims all the way -- your welfare is my priority the MP said.
