Let me introduce you to Penang's signature dish!
Char Koey Teow! 😋😋

During my stay in Malaysia, Penang for a few days, I tried many variations of fried flat rice noodles, and here are the two best ones I've found:

1. Jin Café
They stir-fry it with a lot of wok hei (the breath of the wok)! It comes with eggs and two large prawns, and all this goodness is just 7 Malaysian Ringgit. Definitely worth a try.

Operating hours: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Closed on Sundays)

2. Kampung Jawa Char Koey Teow
You may have seen mamak ikat tepi, but have you ever seen a 1 sided Char Koey Teow ?

Operating hours: 6.00am- 2.00pm

It is a specialty of the place.
You can choose between two options:
Luxury Version: 14 Ringgit (comes with 5 large prawns, more prawns than noodles!)
Standard Version: 7 Ringgit

I didn't have enough money to order the luxury version, so in the picture, there are only 2 prawns.
