अहिल्यादेवींचा जन्म मे ३१ इ.स. १७२५ रोजी महाराष्ट्राच्या अहमदनगर जिल्ह्यातील जामखेड तालुक्यातील चौंडी या खेड्यात झाला.अहिल्याबाई होळकर या उचित न्यायदानासाठी प्रसिद्ध होत्या. राणी अहिल्यादेवी यांनी पूर्ण भारतात अनेक हिंदू मंदिरे व नदीघाट बांधले, किंवा त्यांचा जीर्णोद्धार केला; माहेश्वर व इंदूर या गावांना सुंदर बनवले. त्या अनेक देवळांच्या आश्रयदात्या होत्या. त्यांनी अनेक तीर्थक्षेत्री धर्मशाळांचे बांधकामही केले.
ज्या भारतीय स्रीयांनी आपल्या कर्तृत्वाच्या बळावर आपले नाव इतिहासात अजरामर केले त्यामध्ये प्रामुख्याने पुण्यश्लोक अहिल्याबाई होळकर यांचे नाव घेतले जाते.

Ahilya Devi was born on May 31, 1725, in the village of Choundi in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.
Ahilyabai Holkar was famous for her fair judgment. Rani Ahilya Devi built or restored many Hindu temples and river ghats all over India; she made the villages of Maheshwar and Indore beautiful. She was the patron saint of many temples. she also rebuilt many pilgrimages

The name of Ahilyabai Holkar is mainly mentioned among the Indian women who made their name immortal in history on the strength of their deeds.

शिपी आमटी किंवा शिप्याची आमटी ही कर्जतची एक लोकप्रिय डिश आहे. ही डिश खासकरुन कर्जतला भेट देणार्‍या पाहुण्यांना दिली जाते. कर्जत जवळच्या बऱ्याच हॉटेल्स मध्ये शिपी आमटी, चपाती / रोटी, ब्रेड, भात आणि खारे शेंगदाणे ह्यांचा समावेश थाळीमध्ये असतो.

Shipi Amti or shipyachi amti is a popular dish in Karjat. This dish is especially served to the guests who visit Karjat. In many hotels, this delicious amti, chapati/roti, bread, rice, and salted peanuts are served with a unique but delicious taste.

Kharda, a historical fort in Ahmadnagar is a important historic destination. It remembers the Battle of Kharda battled between the Maratha Confederacy under the Peshwa of Pune and the Nizam of Hyderabad, in 1795.

पेशवाईच्या काळात अहमदनगरमधील एक प्रमुख शहर म्हणून खर्डा नावारूपास आले होते. अहमदनगर, बीड, उस्मानाबाद आणि सोलापूर, देवास या जिल्ह्यांमधील वस्तूंचे प्रमुख व्यापार केंद्रही येथे स्थित होते.

The Blackbuck, called ‘Kalvit’ in Maharashtra, is easily recognised by its magnificent spiral horns, colour and long jump.
The Rehekuri Blackbuck Sanctuary near karjat is one of the best places for blackbuck sightings. Today Rehekuri is home to about 400 blackbucks making it an excellent example of sustained conservation.

The Ganesha icon at Siddhatek, (Karjat Taluka) is with his trunk turned to the right. Usually, the trunk of Ganesha is depicted turned to his left. It is believed that the right-trunked Ganesha is very powerful but difficult to please. This is the only Ashtavinayaka shrine where the deity has his trunk to the right. Traditionally, an icon whose trunk is to the right is named "Siddhi-Vinayaka", the giver of siddhi "accomplishment, success", "supernatural powers" The temple is thus considered as a jagrut kshetra where the deity is said to highly powerful.

तुम्हाला माहित आहे का ?
कर्जत जामखेड येथील सिद्धटेक स्थित गणेश मूर्तीची सोंड उजवीकडे वळलेली आहे. सामान्यतः गणेशाची सोंड त्याच्या डावीकडे वळविलेली असते.पण असे मानले जाते की उजव्या सोंडेचा गणेश हा खूपच शक्तिशाली आहे, परंतु हे जरी खरे असले तरी त्याला प्रसन्न करणेही तेवढेच कठीण काम आहे. हे एकमेव असे अष्टविनायक मंदिर आहे जिथे देवतेची सोंड उजवीकडे आहे. परंपरेने, ज्याची सोंड उजवीकडे आहे त्या गणरायाचे नाव "सिद्धी-विनायक" असे ठेवले आहे, सिद्धी देणारा ("सिद्धी, यश", "अलौकिक शक्ती"). सिद्धटेक मंदिर म्हणूनच जागृत क्षेत्र मानले जाते .येथे देवता अत्यंत शक्तिशाली असल्याचे म्हटले जाते.

As the walls dividing access to knowledge are breaking down with rapid digitization, aspirations are rising across all the sections of the society. And rightfully so! Still, a huge disparity exists among urban and rural areas when it comes to available social and economic opportunities.

For all-inclusive social and economic growth of the rural area, we need to address the root cause. We need to empower citizens with the environment and skills that can accelerate the growth engine! At the same time, it is crucial to take a structured approach to recognize the issues and seek cooperation to solve them.

Ideated by Mr. Rohit Pawar, Karjat Jamkhed Integrated Development Foundation is an endeavor to create a model that will serve as an inspiration for inclusive growth which caters to all strata of the society. Taking data-driven, academically backed and volunteer-driven approach, foundations aims to creatively solve major issues that play hindrance to the growth.

This foundation will be officially launched on 15th February in Pune at Lakshmi Lawns. The launch event will be graced by honorable dignitaries.
