Check out this blog post I wrote about the perfect time to go to Disney!

Genie+ Tips and Tricks

If you were a fast pass pro, like me, you may be feeling a bit discouraged about Genie+. Here are a few tips and tricks to get you back to pro status.

🧞‍♂️Set your alarm for 6:50 am and purchase your Genie+ for the day.

🧞‍♀️I suggest purchasing your Individual Lightening Lane passes first right at 7 am if you are staying on property. (If you are staying off property you’ll have to wait to purchase them when the park opens.)

🧞‍♂️ Next you’ll want to pick the ride you are most excited about that you know will have long lines.

🧞‍♀️ Then set your alarm for two hours after the park opens. That is when you’ll be ready to pick your next ride. Then set several alarms for every two hours for the rest of the day. (For Magic Kingdom you’d set an alarm for 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, etc.

🧞 When your alarm goes off get your family engaged in picking the next ride. It takes away from the mom guilt of being on your phone!

🧞‍♂️ Remember you can only use Genie+ for one ride per day. So, if you think you are going to miss your time, be sure to cancel your reservation and rebook it for later in the day.

🧞‍♀️ You can’t choose an exact time that you’d like to ride, Genie+ shares the next time available. If the time you are seeing is too early, just wait for a later time.

🧞 Also, before the day of, get on your My Disney Experience App and explore. It will help you navigate Genie+ so much better if you learn where everything is prior to 6:50 am of your park day. It will reduce stress and make the entire experience so much easier.

Have you ridden Rise of the Resistance yet? It is one of my all time favorite rides! The last time we were in Hollywood Studios we snuck in just before the park closed and ended our night perfectly!

My friend just got back from Disney and shared these tips and tricks to navigate Genie+!

They trick is 1) turn off your WiFi b/c when you get a desired time-slot for an attraction, by the time Disney WiFi confirms selection, the time slot is no longer available- turning off WiFi let’s you click quicker.
2) if there is a specific attraction you want during a certain time, you have to “refresh” the tip board consistently for like 20minutes and be quick with your fingers. Eventually, with patience and persistence the desired time slot becomes available.
3) certain hotels off property are considered Disney Friends which allows you to enter parks early…here’s the catch…these hotels are not allowed to purchase individual LL at 7am - these hotels have to wait until official park opening to purchase (ie: Remy, Rise of Resistance). Honestly, by 8am all those individual LL which you pay extra for are gone.
4) I noticed that lots of time slots fill up at exactly 7am. But if you check back around 7:20am so many earlier time slots open up again.

✨ Disney Wish Inaugural Sailing Delayed Until Mid-July✨

From Disney:
It has been nothing short of magical to see the excitement build among our guests over the past year as each new detail about the Disney Wish is revealed. Our cast and crew, as well as our partners at the Meyer Werft shipyard, have poured their hearts into bringing this magnificent new ship to life.

While we are all eagerly awaiting the ship’s debut, today we must share that our anticipation will unfortunately have to extend a bit longer than initially planned. The shipyard has notified Disney Cruise Line that despite their very best efforts, they will need more time to finish the ship due, in part, to the pandemic and particularly the arrival of the Omicron variant in Germany at a critical point in the process.

As a result, Disney Cruise Line has no other choice than to delay the maiden voyage by a few weeks, which will regrettably affect sailings through mid-July. Disney Cruise Line will be sending the below email to guests on these sailings to share this disappointing news and inform them of options available to make vacation memories with their families.

What has been your favorite Disney trip?

I have loved all of mine but this trip was one of my very favorites because we went with my aunt and grandparents. I remember laughing - a lot!

It was my first time going where I could ride all of the rides, I loved how thrilled my grandparents were with It’s a Small World and remember eating at Via Napoli as everyone twirled their napkins over their heads. Everything was just so magical and everyone was so nice. ❤️
