Sochiro Honda 🚘
The founder of One of the well known car manufacturer in Japan, what is his story?
.
Sochiro Honda was born in a humble house in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture
.
I did not know his story until I visited his humble house, which is currently a museum
Mr.Honda showed an interest in Cars and Engines from an early age
When he reached the age of 16 he moved to Tokyo and worked in a car workshop, which was his dream, but unfortunately he was entrusted with cleaning tasks, and he was frustrated, however, he continued and tried to prove that he can do the car maintenance job
the managers of the workshop started giving him some maintenance tasks
.
When he reached the age of 18 he surpassed the other engineers and he became famous and after a while he Opened his own car workshop
Honda never stopped there and tried to manufacture "engine cylinder rings" which failed miserably. He searched, asked and studied until he could succeed making the product work well. He pursued his dream and build his own factory, but unfortunately the Second World War destroyed everything

he worked in several other fields to earn his living, but he was so frustrated.
one day a friend of Honda came to visit him with a small engine and asked Honda, "I have this little engine and I don't know what to do with it" Here, Honda's enthusiasm flared up again.
He thought to put the engine in a bicycle to make the first motorcycle in Japan! Because of the severe oil shortage during those days, his new product spreaded in Japan and all over the world
Then he decided to enter the world of car manufacturing

In the Honda Museum there is a picture of his left hand 🤚🏻 with a lot of scratches and every scratch represents a story that Mr. Humda tells himself

Izu is a city in Japan’s Shizuoka prefecture, on the heavily forested Izu Peninsula
Izu is known for its:

Samurai
It is a honorable military rank given in ancient times
.
Samurai families had a family names that distinguished them from the other class such as farmers etc… until modern Japan came and gave all citizens family names (Samurai surnames picture 3)
.
Till this day, the names and emblems of the samurai families are distinguished. You will find that the emblems of the families are found on the ancient palaces and castles and some samurai armors.
.
The samurai have their own culture, customs and traditions and are distinguished by their strong armors and sharp swords
.
Now a days samurai families are found among the common people but they still holding their family names
.
I got a funny situation with one of the descendants of the samurai. I saw his family name, Gharib, so I asked him: Are you from a samurai family? 😳 he was was Surprised and told me how you know ?! He began to tell me about his origins and about the sword of his grandfather's grandfather’s at their hometown
Samurai is is one of the Japanese cultures that I am Fascinated with it
