The Tahlequah and Cherokee County Tourism Department's mission is to develop and market the area as a year-round tourist destination, and to facilitate long-term economic growth via the Tourism industry.

Visitors spent $10,271,000 on lodging in Tahlequah and Cherokee County in fiscal year 23-24. Many of these visitors spent money at restaurants, stores, float outfitters, and marinas which supports the local economy.
