Looking for just the right hotel for your trip can take a lot of effort.
Here’s a travel tip on how to get right to the reviews YOU want to read.
Type in the word that describes what you’re looking for, or what you’re NOT looking for in your hotel.
The reviews with those words will show up, so you can get to the important information quickly.
I wouldn’t try this until you have your hotel choices really narrowed down to 2 or 3.

Starting the first of 2025 Americans Canadians and citizens of 30 other countries that currently do not need a visa to travel to Europe will have to fill out a form and have an electronic visa before they arrive.
When you fill out the form you’ll have to put in the first country you plan to visit. They suggest you don’t book it yet because you may be denied a visa.
Be careful and make sure you go to the official website, not a third-party website and then handover all of your personal information .
Comment the word “visa” and I will send you the official website.
After you fill out the form, you should know within a few minutes if you’ve been approved it may take up to 96 hours to find out if you’re approved or not.
If you aren’t approved, they may invite you to come to an in person meeting to discuss your history and see if they will allow you to get the visa .

If you’ve been planning a trip and you’re looking at the tours, you can take I know you found all the “skip the line” tours.
I just found 25 of them for a tour of the Vatican next spring !
How can every tour be skip the line?
Wouldn’t it be better if they just set a certain time and that’s what we actually took the tour ?
Let me know your thoughts on the line scheme.

If you’re traveling to Europe, do you need an international drivers permit?
You will probably never be asked when you’re renting a car for the international drivers permit, but you might be asked in the countries below if you have an accident or get a ticket.
An international driving permit is really just a translation of your English language license so that it can be understood if you’re traveling in a country that English is not the major language .
The AAA in America in the CAA in Canada are the two resources to use to get this international drivers permit .
Below are the countries that they recommend you get a international drivers permit for: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, or Spain.

When you travel solo, you have to travel a little different.
Here’s my list of things I do for my solo trips.
First, I book the transfer from my arrival point, which is usually the airport, to my hotel. I’ve spent too many hours lost in a new destination looking for my hotel or hostel. A pre-booked transfer is the safest and the quickest option.
I also pre-booked several day trips. I suggest you make sure you select something you’re really excited to see or do. This is an also a great way to meet fellow travelers who may want to chitchat or even go to dinner after the tour. Booking a tour with a meal included is another great way you can have some interaction with your fellow travelers.
I’ve learned the hard way not to book really early departing flights. Navigating around strange cities really early in the morning when it’s still dark and transportation options are limited doesn’t feel safe.
If you want more information on how to travel safely as a solo, comment the word “class”! It’s the information you need to go solo!

“Ever heard of Economy Class Syndrome? It’s not just a bad joke about cramped seats—it’s a real health risk.
Sitting in those awful seats with no leg room for long hours without moving can put you at risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), a condition where blood clots form in your legs.
With less legroom than ever, it’s easy to get stuck in a bad position, which can lead to circulation problems.
Here are my top 3 tips to stay safe when you’re stuck in economy:
1. Move Around: Don’t wait until the plane lands to stretch your legs. Take a walk down the aisle whenever you can to get your blood flowing.
2. Stay Hydrated: Flying dehydrates you, which thickens your blood and increases the risk of clots. Drink lots of water, and skip the alcohol and caffeine—these will dehydrate you even more.
3. Ankle & Leg Exercises: too many turbulents and you can’t get up? No problem. Do some simple exercises at your seat. Flex your ankles, rotate your feet, or raise your knees a few inches to keep your circulation moving.
Next time you’re on a flight, don’t just think about getting to your destination—think about arriving healthy, too. Your legs will thank you!”

Stats on hidden cameras in Airbnbs and hotels might feel like a mystery novel you didn’t sign up for, but the reality is, not every incident gets reported, and it’s hard to always pin down the culprit. Still, here’s what we do know:
1. Airbnb:
• According to a 2019 survey by IPX1031, a surprising 11% of travelers claimed they found hidden cameras in their Airbnb. Meanwhile, 58% were on high alert, worried they might find one lurking during their stay.
• Airbnb, for its part, says hidden cameras are a strict no-no, and claims that less than 1% of all stays result in privacy complaints. Yet, incidents keep popping up, from the US to South Korea, the UK, and Spain.
2. Hotels:
• Hotels are generally safer, but they’re not off the hook. South Korea, in particular, has been at the center of a hidden camera storm. In 2019, over 1,600 hotel guests were filmed in 30 different hotels, with the footage shockingly live-streamed online.
• In the US, the issue is far less common, but it happens. Around 10% of American travelers have expressed concerns about hidden cameras in their hotel rooms.
3. Country-Specific Hotspots:
• South Korea: The hidden camera crisis, known as “molka,” has escalated, with the government reporting about 6,500 illegal filming cases in 2018 alone. Hotels, women’s bathrooms, and changing rooms are frequent targets.
• China: A survey by The Paper found that a whopping 60% of Chinese hotel guests are anxious about hidden cameras.
• United States: While less frequent, hidden camera reports still make waves, with high-profile cases coming out of states like Florida and California.
Yes, these numbers are eyebrow-raising, but remember—the vast majority of stays are totally safe. Just keep your wits about you and maybe do a quick check for any unexpected blinking lights!
There are a lot of things you need to do before you go on an international trip.
Here’s three that are important for your safety.
Make a copy of your credit cards and passport, send the photos to yourself in an email.
You can easily call to cancel credit cards if you have all the information available.
Having your passport information will make replacing it easier…I hope you don’t need this tip!
Print all the important hotel and lodging addresses, you know relying on your phone after a long flight without a recharge or issues connecting in a foreign country can be stressful.
And last, make sure and sign up for the STEP SMART traveler program so you get any emergency updates and the government knows which country you are visiting.
Do you have any other must do trip prep?
Stay safe

When you’re traveling to a new city, figuring out which taxis are legit can feel like a puzzle, but it’s an easy one to solve with a little research.
First, start by looking up what licensed taxis look like in that city. Some places make it super simple by having taxis a specific color or with a recognizable logo. For example, in New York City, the iconic yellow cabs are your go-to, while London has those classic black cabs.
A quick online search will usually tell you what to look for. Local government or tourism websites are your best bet for finding the rules and regulations.
You might even find that some cities have apps for their licensed taxis, which is a major plus.
Once you know the color, company, or taxi type, it’s time to use your eyes. Licensed taxis usually have registration numbers clearly visible, often on the roof, side, or inside the car.
Check if the driver has a badge or ID, and make sure the meter is running—no flat rates unless that’s the norm in that city. If you still aren’t sure, hotel staff or a local café can point you in the right direction.
Doing a little homework before you hop in a cab not only keeps you safe but ensures you’re not paying way more than you should for a ride!
