Life's a beach! Here are some of the ways we can all ensure it stays beautiful:

👙 Think about what you bring to the beach — choose reusable water bottles and refill them at the hydration stations along the seafront.

♻️ Take your litter home with you or use one of our recycling bins — this helps to keep our seas plastic-free and conserve marine life.

🏖️ Use our beach toy library – rather than buying plastic toys for a day out, borrow a range of buckets, spades, toy cars and more from the handy cupboard on the seafront. Kinder on your pocket and kinder to the environment!

🍟 Don’t feed the seagulls — as well as causing them long-term health problems, this can pose a danger and nuisance to pedestrians when they scavenge. You can help by making sure that any leftover food is either taken home or placed securely in a bin.

🎁 Choose a gift that lasts with an experience instead
🛍️ Shop locally and support local businesses whilst reducing your carbon footprint
📖 Check out charity shops for family board games, Christmas tableware, or even vintage books or vinyls for gifts
💝 Use eco-friendly wrapping paper, save old gift boxes, use recycled paper and avoid using tape so you can use it all again next year!
🎄 Rent a Christmas tree or opt for a potted one to use every year
🎇 Switch to LED lights which use up to 80% less energy
🌱 Send ecards or plantable Christmas cards
💕 Why not give back to the community by spending time with those people who are alone at Christmas?

As one of the biggest tourist attractions in the local area, The Donkey Sanctuary's steps to environmental preservation are nothing short of inspirational. Including:
