I headed north into Minnesota again with the boat and a few buddies, looking to catch some fish. Although we didn't get too many mosquito bites we also didn't get many fish to bite either. Other than that it was a beautiful week at the lake and it was nice to get the chance to catch up with each other since we weren't catching fish.

We spent the last bit of the trip in Arkansas parked right on a beautiful lake before making a mad dash back home to Iowa so we didn't have to camp in the freezing weather. We drove through some crazy wind on the back, which isn't fun because the van is basically a land sail, but we made it back in one piece. It feels good to be back home, now if it could just warm up a bit...

You probably can't tell from these pictures, but these were all taken in Louisiana. Well besides the crawfish.

We spent four nights on this beautiful beach and got to meet so many nice people. Only downfall is that I'm still finding sand in the camper.

Some of the amazing views I got to enjoy with my mom from last week after she met me in Tucson. We shot down to Big Bend and stayed four nights, each day reaching temps over 100 degrees. We did our best to stay cool spending one day sitting in the Rio Grande for most of the afternoon, and even swam across to Mexico.

Saguaros have proven to be insane every single time I get up close to one, and I've been living in the desert for almost 2 months now. This particular guy was about 30 feet, but they've been known to get over 75 feet tall. There's a ton of cool plants out here, but the saguaro is such a majestic beast of a plant that they don't compare.

I headed south once again and met up with Anna, a friend of mine, in Tuscon. We toured around Saguaro National Park for a bit and then headed further south near Patagonia to camp in some trees for a change. We got to catch up on each other's lives, enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery, and just have a nice relaxing few days.

Nicole and I spent a few nights in Tonto National Forest where we got to witness a full day of rain out in the desert, saw a wild horse, and just soaked up the gorgeous views before she had to catch her flight back to Iowa.

This last week Roxanne the box van had a full house for the first time in a while. My uncle Doug flew out Monday last week, and then Nicole and Kyle joined us a few days later. We did some off-roading, lots of hikes and bike trails in Sedona, and got to spend some gorgeous nights around the fire stargazing and pondering life's secrets. Safe to say this week was the reset we all needed.

I spent a week completely off the grid at a BLM campground outside of Why, AZ. It was nice to really get to enjoy nature without the distraction of my phone. I met some cool travelers, rode some awesome trails, experienced desert life, and I'm pretty sure I saw a UFO one night.
