Another big week this week for the boys in some interesting conditions in Tekapo!

Snow is now falling to 400m in parts of the region. Waimakariri River at worrying high levels; heavier falls moving in and we have growing concerns around flooding.
Please 'Share' and keep people up to date. If possible avoid our alpine passes and higher roads, with snow now falling to 400-500m in parts of South Canterbury.

SEVERE STORM INTENSIFYING - Our storm is ramping up, with incredible rainfall intensity in parts of South & Mid Canterbury. Snow is now falling to 400m in parts of South Canterbury and may lower to even lower levels.
⛈ We have impressive thunderstorms in Mid Canterbury, with rainfall rates exceeding 20mm per hour. Flash flooding is a real concern with unsually high intensity rain.
Keep us posted and stay safe out there - this whole system will gradually move north this morning. There remains some degree of uncertainty - this is a rare warm advection snow event and may provide even more 'cuve balls' before 6pm this evening.
