Our love of colour & up-cycling continues into every room. The tropical wallpaper in the Push-Me-Pull-You bedroom will brighten up anyone’s stay & the comfy bed was rescued off a skip, lovingly renovated & painted with a cloud scene to match the view, then fitted with a pocket sprung new mattress for the best sleep.

“What a fantastic stay. Absolutely beautiful cottage (Cider House) such a lovely location with easy access to Abergavenny. Laura was so welcoming the cottage was so clean and beautifully decorated located with direct access to the skirrid mountain. The grounds to the cottage are equally impressive especially the natural swimming pool and green house. Super dog friendly. Emily’s communication in arranging our stay made it all so easy. Thank you both. We will be back”

The Dairy kitchen is painted in our favourite pink & green with lots of quirky details & thought provoking Lubaina Himid prints on the walls. Spot the ducks up in the beams? Sleeping 6 to 16 (including children) with 6 bedrooms & 4 bath/shower rooms it is ideal for multi-generational family groups.

Ok, Halloween is over, so what’s next? Yup Christmas. Love it or hate it, it’s a lot of work (or a sad time), so once it’s over it’s time for YOU. We (women in particular) forget to treat ourselves, so give yourself a real gift this year.

“Our team had a truly amazing retreat at Wonderful Escapes during the last week of August.

The location was beautiful - with amazing views over the Welsh hills. Each of the cottages were so thoughtfully and carefully designed and the spacious meeting areas meant we could enjoy activities, meals and downtime in all sorts of different places.

The outdoor space was equally as impressive, with lots of space to enjoy team sessions outside. The cold water pool, hot tub and sauna were particular favourites!

The team at Wonderful Escapes were incredibly helpful, both before and throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They helped us with every question we had, no matter how small and we were made to feel welcomed and appreciated.

It was the perfect setting for our team to connect, collaborate, and recharge and we highly recommend Wonderful Escapes for any groups looking for a unique retreat experience!”
