Where I’m dreaming of.. 💭 RWANDA & UGANDA 🦍

Last week I had the pleasure of connecting with my partners at Volcanoes Safaris, pioneers of gorilla and chimpanzee ecotourism in the region for over 25 years, offering curated great ape and wildlife safaris incorporating sustainable conservation and community projects, while staying at award-winning lodges in Rwanda and Uganda.

Their tailormade safaris give you unique insight into the world of the endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, their habitats, and the communities that live nearby.

As part of these safaris, you can enjoy chimp trekking with a primatologist, fireside chats with a vet from Gorilla Doctors, joining the Kyambura Lion Monitoring team in the park, and a dinner with researchers from the Dian Fossey Fund.

There is nothing better than when clients come home raving about their trip!

It is also crucial for my business! Their feedback and thoughts are so important to me. I take notes, not only for their future trips but for other clients looking for similar travel experiences. This review comes from a lovely couple that came to me for help planning a festive getaway to Paris to ring in the New Year. They split their stay between two lovely addresses in Paris, but was the real highlight!

“This hotel stole our hearts! The room was small but still spacious. The tall ceilings made it feel grand. The concierge at this hotel was our favourite! And their spa area had a vibe on its own, it was a private room with a sauna and large hot tub area. It’s located a block higher than the Louis Vuitton hotel so you could literally see it when you walked out, while still being on a quiet street. Their bar is very moody and cool too!”

This brand new property had just opened when I visited for in November, so I was among the first to visit and be able to confidently recommend it to my clients. Firsthand experience is so important, and I am thrilled that it exceeded their expectations!

Dreaming of Greece? Check out this amazing trip that I recently planned!

I can’t take all the credit for it though, when my clients came to me wanting a last minute getaway to the islands, I consulted with my trusted local partner who was able to help us secure space at the top properties on short notice - even snagging availability for sold out room categories!

Here are some of the highlights:

They’ll arrive into Athens (with a VIP meet & greet on arrival) and immediately escape the city, opting for a luxurious stay in the chic Athenian Riviera at the newly opened . Set within 21 hectares of protected forest reserve in Glyfada, is just a short drive from the ancient wonders of the Greek capital, providing the best of both worlds!

From here they will fly to Paros and dive into the serene ambiance of this laidback island with a stay at . The beachfront retreat has the clear-blue Aegean water at its feet, near the buzzy harbour town of Naoussa and within a short walk of its seafood restaurants, waterfront bars and boutiques

NEXT UP: Argentina 🇦🇷 If not already on your radar, it should be!

This is a diverse destination with so much to offer from the lakes and glaciers of Patagonia, to the mountains and vineyards of Mendoza, to culturally rich, cosmopolitan cities like Buenos Aires - known as the Paris of South America! There is truly something for everyone.

A country so nice, I am visiting twice in one year! It is an easy place to explore with direct flights from Toronto (14 hours total with a quick stop in Sao Paolo to stretch your legs.) The journey is long but costs the same as flying to Europe, with a far better exchange rate allowing your CAD $ to go way further on arrival. You’ll be amazed at the value for 5* luxury accommodations, Michelin star dining and world class experiences.
