Yoga by the Ganges & Exploring Sacred Caves at Sunrise. India 🇮🇳 November 2024Just after sunrise, we embarked on a magical journey to a secluded beach on the sacred Ganges River for a peaceful yoga session. 🌅 We traveled about 20km to this quiet spot, where the turquoise waters of the holy river flowed alongside us, and the sounds of monkeys echoed in the trees, guarded by the village dogs who watched over us while lying by our mats. 🐒🐕 Following our rejuvenating yoga practice, we stepped into the river—remarkably clear compared to our visit to Varanasi. We immersed ourselves five times, honoring the ancient belief in its cleansing power for the soul. 💧🙏Our adventure continued as we explored a legendary cave where it’s said Guru Vashishta achieved Samadhi (spiritual liberation). Here, we meditated and absorbed the sacred energy before crossing a stunning swing bridge that offered breathtaking views of the river below. 🌉🌊 #YogaJourney #SacredGanges #MindfulTravel #MeditationRetreat #SpiritualCleansing #SacredIndia #NatureYoga #TravelDeeper #YogaEverywhere #GangesRiver #SpiritualTravel

After checking into to our 4 day Yoga retreat at @hareramainstitute we decided to spend a magical first afternoon walking to the banks of the Ganges just in time for sunset. 🌅🙏 #TravelIndia #Haridwar #GangesRiver #HarKiPauri #HimalayanFoothills #Rishikesh #SacredSites #SpiritualJourney #IncredibleIndia #SunsetMoments #HinduCulture #AmritsarToRishikesh #ExploreIndia

Chitwan National Park Adventures: Elephants, Rhinos & Culture. Nepal 🇳🇵 October 2024After an epic journey from Kathmandu to Sauraha, we arrived at the beautiful Sapana Lodge, right on the edge of Chitwan National Park. 🐘🌿 This incredible eco-lodge @sapanavillagelodge is dedicated to caring for retired elephants, providing them with a peaceful life free from the exploitation seen in unethical practices like elephant riding. 🍉🐘 Later, we explored a nearby Tharu village, where we watched the locals harvest rice and were greeted by the sweetest village dogs and kids. 🐾🌾 The hospitality here is heartwarming. We caught sight of elephants in the magical morning mist. Our first thrill? Crossing the Rapti River on a 40-minute canoe ride, spotting crocodiles 🐊 and vibrant birdlife along the way. Once in the forest, we trekked through a landscape home to rhinos, elephants, sloth bears, and tigers. While most wildlife stayed hidden, we were lucky enough to watch a mother rhino and her calf cooling off in a pool. 🦏✨ We encountered another Asiatic one-horned rhino bathing, mischievous langur and macaque monkeys, and even a majestic hornbill. 🐒🦏🦜 A stop at the Gharial Breeding Centre highlighted the conservation efforts for this endangered crocodile species 🐊, and we saw rangers patrolling on elephant back.Morning magic with rescued elephants 🐘 at Sapana Village Lodge! We started the day greeting these gentle giants by the river, where we took a peaceful stroll alongside them. Then, it was breakfast time—fresh fruits and veggies for the elephants, and a delicious meal for us 🍉🥬.Afterward, we headed to the river for an unforgettable experience washing one of the elephants in the cool, flowing water 💦. Later, we returned to the Rapti River for a serene sunset birdwatching session 🦜. A perfect way to wrap up our last evening in the stunning Chitwan area 🌅. #ChitwanNationalPark #NepalTravel #tharuculture #WildlifePhot
Epic Descent from Everest Base Camp: Stunning Trek Highlights. Nepal 🇳🇵 October 2024After reaching Everest Base Camp, we faced a tough decision. Our goal was to conquer the 3 passes, but with a lingering head cold and Miranda showing signs of oncoming illness, staying high wasn’t the best choice for recovery. Instead, we took a new route down the mountains. Day 1: a 13km descent through the breathtaking Thukla Valley. Along the way, we visited the moving memorials of climbers who attempted Everest at Thukla Pass and paused for lunch nearby. We continued following the Khumbu River, with majestic peaks like Ama Dablam guiding our way. By evening, we reached the peaceful village of Pangboche for a well-deserved rest. What an unforgettable 4 days trekking down from the world’s highest mountains! 🏔️ We stayed overnight in Pangboche, visited the incredible Tengboche Monastery, and then descended to Namche Bazaar for a well-earned rest. From there, we made our way to Phakding and finally reached Lukla. Despite 6 days of flight delays due to bad weather, we got lucky with clear skies this morning and flew back to Kathmandu! ✈️ 🏞️🌏#HimalayaTrek #NepalAdventure #TengbocheMonastery #NamcheBazaar #Lukla #KathmanduVibes #TrekkingLife #EverestJourney #TravelGoals #AdventureTime #ExploreNepal #MountainTrek
Everest Base Camp Trek: Altitude & Everest Sunset at Kala Patthar. Nepal 🇳🇵 October 2024. After an intense day conquering Kongma La Pass, my body finally hit its limit also battling illness. Instead of pushing through the 8-hour trek to Everest Base Camp, we opted for a shorter, 4-hour hike along the Khumbu Glacier’s moraine from Lobuche to Gorak Shep glimpsing the peak of Everest along the way while we followed the yak and mule caravans. Everest Base Camp had to wait until the following day while I rested up and recovered for the final push! 🏔️💪 After battling a headcold at over 5,100m (approximately 17,000 ft) and surviving -20°C nights, it was time to push through and reach the ultimate goal. We made our way slowly from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp, catching glimpses of the world’s highest peak along the way. The Base Camp, set on the shrinking Khumbu Glacier, holds incredible history—paying homage to Kiwi beekeeper Sir Edmund Hillary and legendary Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who conquered Everest on May 29, 1953.Later that afternoon, we embarked on a steep climb up Kala Patthar in freezing fog, with little hope of seeing anything. But just at sunset, the clouds parted, revealing Mount Everest bathed in golden light. Tibetan Snowcocks scuttled nearby, making it a moment I’ll cherish forever! 🏔️✨ #EverestBaseCamp #KalaPatthar #MountEverest #HimalayanAdventure #TrekkingNepal #KhumbuGlacier #HighAltitudeTrek #ExploreNepal #SunsetOnEverest #MountainGoals #AdventureOfALifetime #Sagarmatha
