5 PM Advisory just in: Beryl still holding on to winds of 155 mph. Some weakening is expected as it eyes Jamaica on Wednesday.

Beryl is a cat 5 hurricane right now. The various meteorological forecasting agencies and experts show the the hurricane will lose intensity as it crosses over Jamaica and afterwards encounter upper level wind shear. The agencies are somewhat in disagreement as to the track the hurricane is taking, showing potential landfall anywhere in the northern Quintana Roo coast. A day or two ago it seemed Beryl would make landfall much further south. That is no longer the case. We do need to be well prepared.
