Feeling the heat as summer continues going strong?

Now's a great time to book a ski vacation for winter break. I highly recommend giving the French Alps a try with one of Club Med's amazing all-inclusive ski resorts. I had the chance to visit two of their resorts in March, and I was super impressed.

What I loved about my all-inclusive ski trip experience . . .

1. Group lessons AND lift tickets included - If you haven't skied in awhile or you're introducing your kids to the sport, you'll love getting the lessons included in your package. You also don't have to sweat the additional cost of lift tickets when you book with Club Med Ski.

2. Storage lockers right on the slopes. You don't have to schlep your skis and boots around the resort, you're assigned a locker slope side for storing all you're gear. Cannot emphasize enough how much I loved this feature.

3. The resorts in general - they offer cozy rooms, space to relax, excellent spa treatments, and great kids' clubs. There's even a different themed show each night.

4. Food, food, and more food - spend your ski trip skiing, not cooking or discussing where you want to eat dinner. Plus, the French take their après-ski very seriously.

5. Those views! The alps are stunning!

Anyone else loving the Olympic surfing in Tahiti? What if I told you that scratching off French Polynesia from your bucket list is easier than you might think, especially if you book a cruise on Windstar Cruises! I sailed on Windstar this summer in the Adriatic and LOVED it! I loved the food, service, and relaxed atmosphere of small ship cruising. They offer itineraries from seven nights to eighteen nights from Papeete. And the flight to Papeete from LAX is only 8 hours!

Last month I had a blast visiting Club Med Valmorel and Club Med La Rosière in France. From the cozy accommodations and yummy food to the daily ski schedule and fabulous instructors, an all-inclusive vacation with Club Med is the way to go for a ski trip.

It had been over 15 years since I'd skied, so I started from the very beginning and hit the bunny slopes. I'd totally forgotten how much I love to ski! Pic 2: By the end of the week, I'd graduated higher up the mountain to some more intense runs. No sure where all I went because, luckily, I stayed with my ski instructor/guide the whole time! Here I am with some of my fellow travel advisors. The wind was so intense one of the days we were there that some lifts had to be closed. When they're open, you can ski from France to Italy and back! Sadly for us, Italy was closed the day I took pic 3. Cute photo op area on the large patio at La Rosière in pic 4. Valmorel had a lovely pool with a great view of the slopes. I took one of the water aerobics classes, and I think my muscles hurt more from that than the skiing. Après-ski = fondue. They also had a giant Nutella dispenser. 😍

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to get back on skis and experience the beauty of the French Alps! I'm also very grateful I made it back in one piece with nothing strained, sprained, or broken!

Flight costs can eat a sizable chunk of your travel budget, especially if you're booking for a family or wanting to fly nonstop. Making the most of an ideal booking window can go a long way helping you get to that destination you've been dreaming about.

According to my own version of travel advisor math, the money you save getting to your destination is like free money to spend in your destination!

For more help with flight prices, use a flight tracker website like skyscanner to help you stay on top of any changes in price as you wait for that price sweet spot.

A late summer trip can be ideal for visiting . . .

🇳🇴 Norway: Take advantage of the lingering long summer days by hiking, climbing, or troll hunting. Norway offers visitors scenic road trips, epic rail journeys, Moose safaris, and more. August is also peak festival season with numerous outdoor film, music and art festivals!

🇿🇦 South Africa: There's really not a bad time to visit South Africa! But for those who want to go specifically for animal viewing, August is an ideal month to travel. The dry season means the grass is short, and the animals tend to gather around watering holes.

🇮🇪 Ireland: The country's main attractions are stunning coastal scenery, charming people, excellent golfing, fishing, bird-watching (for puffins, terns and other northern sea birds), historical sites and ruins, and legendary Irish pubs. Rain and mist is expected year round, but August can offer slightly warmer and drier days!

While renewal processing times have gotten shorter in 2024, it still takes time. You can save yourself a ton of stress and anxiety by getting to it early. I like to set a reminder on my phone so I'm sure I will get to it when I need to.

Go ahead...dig that passport out of whatever drawer you threw it in last year and check that expiration date!
