3 PLACES OUTSIDE HANOI WORTH YOUR VISIT AND WHERE TO STAY
If you are planning your holiday and don't know where or when to go (or stay), I hope this helps you. Plan well if you'd like to travel during this period, as things get booked quickly. Better yet, if you can travel outside those dates, it will be cheaper and much less crowded.
Some of my best recommendations are as below:
- Sapa (5 - 6 hour drive from Hanoi) is an all-time favorite for many people. If you want a hotel with the best view, checks out Topas Ecolodge.
- Mai Chau or Ninh Binh (2- 3 hour drive from Hanoi) is perfect for a weekend getaway. Tam Coc Garden Resort, Mai Chau Ecolodge, or Mai Chau Hideaway is a fantastic value for money. The most special one and also the most luxurious is Avana Retreat.
- Ha Long Bay: You can't go wrong with Ha Long Bay! My all-time favorite is Heritage Cruise. Think private rooms with a balcony, high ceilings, full panoramic ocean views, hand-painted mosaic tiles, and original paintings.
