About Our Cottage
Now accepting reservations for 2022!
Welcome to our freshly updated 3 bedroom cottage located on stunning Lower Lake Dalrymple in the Kawarthas. Just a short 90 minute drive from the GTA.
Ours is a four-season cottage, open for bookings year round.
For 2022: Summer is considered prime-time and runs from Friday, June 24 to Friday, September 9th. Bookings during the summer are 7-night minimum and run Friday to Friday. Check-in is Friday at 4pm and check-out is Friday at 10am.
December holidays including Christmas and New Years are also 7-night minimums with Friday check-in/check-out.
Long weekends: Victoria Day in May and Thanksgiving are 3-night minimum.
Anything that falls outside of the above schedule is a 2-night minimum.

You’ll find everything you need for an unforgettable vacation experience. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a loft, plus 2 pullout sofabeds and can sleep up to 14 guests.
There is central heating, Air Conditioning, a wood burning stove, ceiling fans. We also have smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, first aid kits on site.
Here’s the layout:
• Bedroom 1- Queen bed
• Bedroom 2- Queen bed
• Bedroom 3- Bunk bed with Double on bottom and Twin on top, PLUS another Twin bed
• Loft space has a Double bed
• Living room has two pullout sofabeds that can sleep 2 on each.
ALL bed linens are supplied, including pillows. Mattress covers are on all beds. All bed linens are changed between guest visits. Please note, if you prefer to bring your own bedding, let us know in advance.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with the following:
• Refrigerator, stove, microwave, water cooler, air fryer, blender, 4-slice toaster, kettle.
• Coffee station includes 12-cup coffeemaker, DeLonghi espresso/cappuccino maker, french press, tea pot. Coffee filters provided.
• Full complement of brand new stainless steel cutlery, dinnerware, glassware, stemless wine glasses, coffee mugs, cereal bowls, serving platters etc.
• Brand new cookware set, frying pans, baking sheets, cutting boards and charcuterie board.
• Cooking oils, large assortment of seasoning/spices
The open concept living room/dining room includes:
• Two large pullout sofabeds
• Brand new 55” smart tv with Bell Fibe, Netflix, Prime, Paramount and unlimited wifi
• Brand new board games, poker set, cribbage board, decks of cards and a large selection of DVDs. Additional HDMI cables available for video game connection (bring your own gaming devices)
• Dining room table seats 8 with the option to connect 2 leafs for additional seating
Bathroom:
• Walk-in shower, toilet, sink
• Hair dryer, bath towels, hand towels and face cloths provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
We also provide:
• Toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, hand soaps, dish soap, tea towels, foil wrap, parchment paper, plastic wrap, marshmallow sticks.
• All firewood is included for indoor wood-burning fireplace and outdoor firepit.
• Bottled springwater for water cooler (Sebright general store is 5 minutes down the road if refills are needed).
Outdoors:
• BBQ with cooking utensils. Propane is provided.
• 2 stand-up paddle boards, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe. Large selection of various sized life jackets included; please be diligent about wearing a proper-fitting life jacket, please bring your own for you and your children if you prefer. NOTE: waivers must be signed for use of the water equipment.
• Large lake floating mat, inflatable party island, floaty chairs, pool noodles
• Firepit, Muskoka chairs, 2 picnic tables
• Co****le game with bean bags, bocce ball. The lawn is large and level, perfect for games and family fun!
• There are no stairs to the water!!
Parking:
• Room for 6-8 vehicles in the driveway – please do not park on the lawn as we have a septic system.
Nearby amenities:
• Sebright is less than 10 minutes away. General Store has Beer, LCBO and basic groceries, plus a food truck on site
• Brechin is 15 minutes away and you’ll find an LCBO, Foodland, Tim Horton’s, Shell gas station, pharmacy, Canada Post, hardware store and automotive services
• Orillia is less than 30 minutes away and has basically everything you’d find in any city, including Costco, Farmer’s Market, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, restaurants, movie theatre etc.
• Casino Rama is about 20 minutes away if you’re in the mood for gambling, dining or taking in a show or concert!
• There are 5 golf courses within 15-30 minutes drive from the cottage
• There are several beaches and provincial parks within a 30 minute drive
• Boots and Hearts festival and the Barrie Automotive Flea Market are both held at Burl’s Creek, a 30 minute drive
• Dalrymple Dave’s Ice Fishing Hut rental is 5 minutes away
• Santa’s Village in Bracebridge is less than an hour’s drive
• Gamebridge Go-Karts is 20 minutes away
Snowmobiling:
• The B-104 OFSC snowmobile trail is accessible right from the cottage
Fishing:
• Excellent fishing lake. Lake Dalrymple is a spring fed lake in the Kawarthas. You will find numerous species of fish including Small and Largemouth Bass, Pickerel, Northern Pike, Muskie, Rock Bass, Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Crappie.
Fish can be caught right from the dock. Please bring your own rods and tackle.
House Rules:
• The cottage is on a quiet dead-end street with neighbours on both sides. Please be respectful – no noise or loud music after 10pm.
• Absolutely no parties or events on this property.
• NO SMOKING in the cottage - this includes ci******es, ci**rs, va**ng, ma*****na products. Smoking is allowed outside, please do not leave any butts on the lawn, driveway etc. or in the garbage in the cottage.
Accessibility:
Unless you’re going for a walk/hike, a car is required to get around as no stores or amenities are within walking distance.
