‼️ATTENTION UPIANS‼️

SULYAP SA NAKARAAN: Mga Larawan, Alaala, at Pamana
(Showcasing the Landmarks and Cultural Properties of Upi)

Kumusta?

‼️EYES HERE‼️
World Tourism Day 2024's theme, "Tourism and Peace," highlights tourism as a powerful tool for fostering understanding, cooperation, and harmony among different cultures and communities. By promoting interactions between visitors and locals, tourism can break down barriers, promote cultural exchange, and contribute to global peace efforts.

Relating this to LGU-Upi's campaign “Everything Upi: Explore, Experience, Eat, & Repeat,” the focus on tourism as a driver for Peace aligns well with the values of the Upi community. Upi, a multicultural area rich in indigenous traditions and diverse communities, is an ideal example of how tourism can promote peace. By inviting tourists to “explore” Upi's natural beauty, “experience” its unique culture, “eat” its local delicacies, and “repeat” the journey, the campaign fosters a deeper connection between visitors and the local community. This connection can lead to mutual respect, understanding, and peaceful coexistence between different cultures.

Furthermore, LGU-Upi's use of goal-setting practice like the Golden Circle Goal emphasizes the community's commitment to meaningful and purposeful tourism, which resonates with the global push for tourism to be a force for peace. In Upi, tourism isn't just about economic gain—it's a way to build bridges between people from different backgrounds, reflecting the broader vision of World Tourism Day 2024.

Lastly, the LGU-Upi Tourism is preparing to conduct a Tour Guiding and Filipino Brand of Service Excellence workshop, scheduled for October 29-31, 2024, at the Municipal Conference Hall. This workshop aims to equip local tourism stakeholders with the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional service, while embodying Filipino hospitality values. It also seeks to enhance the visitor experience, ensuring that tourists not only explore and experience Upi but also leave with lasting impressions of warmth and excellent service, further strengthening the community’s role in promoting peace through tourism. 🌺

The LGU-Upi has once again made us proud by emerging as the Champion in the Trade Expo competition, also earning a special award for Best Booth Design. Additionally, we received a consolation prize in the Float Parade competition.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Office of the Municipal Mayor for giving us the opportunity to participate in these competitions. We also wish to share this victory with the Office of the Municipal Engineer, led by Engr. Ervin Gamino, for allowing Ma'am Margie, and their team to assist us and to Sir Petro Gersalino for allowing Sir Richard to provide creative inputs. They are the dedicated individuals responsible for the construction and design of our entries each year. None of this would have been possible without their tireless efforts and sleepless nights.

Thank you to our partner stores whom made a mark in the tourism industry of Upi for allowing us to display their products. To our Agong players, Tri-People models who participated despite the heavy rains. To all the Upians and friends who visited us and showed support in Sultan Mastura, thank you.

Lastly, another heartfelt thank you to the LGU-Upi Tourism Team for the dedication and hard work in showcasing the beauty and rich culture of Upi. Our passion and commitment have played a vital role in promoting our town and its unique heritage, bringing pride and recognition to our community. Let’s continue to showcase Everything Upi has to offer. 🌺

🌺 EYES HERE 🌺
Why is it “Everything Upi”? 😊

Our tourism campaign is no longer revolving on the Experience per se. We transitioned a few months back and started using the word “Everything” as a holistic and inclusive campaign in different aspects. Choosing holistic tourism means that a tourist can enjoy a different and full experience which goes beyond the simple contact with cultures, people, places or landscapes. It focuses on self-transformation and on an attempt of people understanding more about themselves.

“Everything Upi" is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity and natural beauty of Upi. As a melting pot of different traditions, Upi offers a unique blend of indigenous customs, delicious local cuisine, and breathtaking tourist spots. From the colorful dances and festivals of its various ethnic groups to the serene landscapes of its rolling hills and lush farmlands, Upi is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in a harmonious fusion of cultures. The campaign invites everyone to experience the vibrant traditions, authentic flavors, and warm hospitality that make Upi truly exceptional. "Everything Upi" captures the essence of this vibrant town, where culture and nature come together in perfect harmony.

To provide solid support with our tagline “Your Next Destination.” We emphasizes on the words “Explore, Experience, Eat and Repeat” for we are inviting local and outside potential tourists to Explore our tourist spots, to Experience our culture & traditions as Upians (Tëduray, Moro & Settlers), try to Eat our different local products to support our MSMEs and taste the traditional culinary dishes, and lastly we aim for a Repeat of Everything. 🌺🫶🏼
