Visiting Bainbridge and want to see Blake Island? Sail Bainbridge is excited to announce their small, fast-boat with shuttle service to Blake Island and beyond.

If you’ve been dreaming of getting your family or friend group to Blake Island for a camp-out but can’t find a ride, they’ve got you sorted. If you’re trying to get to Seattle and other locations in Central Puget Sound, but want to work around ferry schedules and wait times, they have a solution. Want to get photos of your waterfront property, or view a property you are interested in buying, they are happy to get you there – along with a host of other on water and transport charter needs.

Their fast-boat – TOKI – is the little vessel that can! They are excited to add this quick and nimble little vessel to their offerings! If you don’t already, please go give them a follow and check@out their website to see all the great are there’s and excursions they have to offer!

We are a bit obsessed with the roof top bar found at in Winslow! Just steps from the ferry, you can relax and take in your visit! Spring time is the perfect time to visit the labyrinth here on the island! On a quaint Bainbridge road, overlooking Blakely Harbor, you’ll find Halls Hill Lookout and Labyrinth. A peaceful place for reflection and meditation, you can explore and walk this stone mosaic labyrinth created by landscape designer Jeffrey Bale. The 13th century design incorporates stones from Bainbridge Island Beaches, native plants and benches for quiet contemplation. Take in the views as you turn the bronze prayer wheel offering comforting motion and sound. We love this space and you will take the time to visit!

The Winery Alliance of Bainbridge Island, a longstanding organization representing the vibrant wineries of Bainbridge Island, is thrilled to announce a significant expansion. For over 12 years, the Alliance has been dedicated to promoting and supporting the six wineries nestled on Bainbridge Island. Now, the organization is broadening its scope to embrace wineries across the greater Kitsap Peninsula, ushering in a new era of collaboration and celebration of local wine culture and events.

This expansion brings together a diverse array of wineries from Poulsbo, Olalla, and Hansville, joining forces with the existing Bainbridge Island members to form the newly rebranded Kitsap Winery Alliance. The addition of these wineries enriches the Alliance’s mission to foster community engagement, elevate regional winemaking, and provide unforgettable experiences for wine enthusiasts near and far.

…orcas aren’t the only thing you might see off the incredible ferry to and from Bainbridge this time of year! Keep your eyes peeled for the Junior Crew team of as they practice and scrimmage in Eagle Harbor. On March 30th, 1942, hundreds of Japanese Americans residents were forcibly removed from their homes on Bainbridge Island as a direct result of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Executive Order 9066 and Civilian Exclusion Order No.1.

At 11am til noon, this Saturday, March 30th, members of the public are invited to gather at the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial with the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community, survivors, and civic leaders, to commemorate 82 Years of Healing on Bainbridge Island.

Visit the beautiful cedar carved memorial wall dedicated to the 227 Bainbridge Island residents who were forced to leave with only six days’ notice.

The theme of this year’s program is “Teach the Children,” addressing the need for a new generation to share the stories of incarceration survivors. The keynote speaker is Natalie Sakuma, who will talk about the legacy of her grandfather, Satoru Sakuma, who served in the decorated 442nd regimental combat team after his incarceration in Manzanar and Minidoka. Natalie is a fourth-generation Japanese American and a teacher in the Sedro-Woolley School District.
