Travel Update: SINGAPORE

Travel Documents Required
All passengers traveling from the Philippines to Singapore must take an RT-PCR (swab) COVID-19 TEST within 72 hours prior to departure.

Exempted from this rule are the following travelers:
Passengers under the age of 12 years old
Singapore Citizens
Singapore Permanent Residents

The traveler must present a valid NEGATIVE test result, and the test must be conducted by recognized laboratories that are internationally accredited or recognized by the Philippine government. The proof of the negative result must be in English, and state the following:

The NEGATIVE test result;
The date that the test was taken; and
the name, date of birth, nationality and passport number of the passenger as indicated in his or her passport.

Upon arrival, passengers entering Singapore will still be required to serve a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at a dedicated SHN facility, and to take a COVID-19 test showing negative results before the end of their SHN period.
All short-term visitors must still seek prior approval via appropriate COVID-19 travel channels (e.g. obtain a Safe Travel Pass under Green/Fast Lane arrangements, or Air Travel Pass) before they can enter Singapore.

PHASE 2 OF GRADUAL REOPENING OF EL NIDO WILL BEGIN ON NOVEMBER 30, 2020

Tourists can now come visit El Nido from Manila!
Island-hopping and scuba diving are now being allowed for Phase 2 of our gradual reopening. Please note that rules and regulations are fairly strict for now.

Here are the steps for booking your El Nido vacation:

1) Book your accommodation at one of the hotels and resorts that have accomplished DOT’s Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO) full list below

2) Book your tours with one of the travel agencies/tour operators with DOT accreditation and the LGU’s Local Seal of Compliance (LSOC). Your tour operator/travel agency will send you an itinerary for your stay.

3) Upload your bookings here, along with health declaration and IDs. You will be issued a QR coded tourist ID (QT-ID) that clears you for your itinerary. https://elnidotourism.ph/

4) Book your flight on AirSwift at https://www.air-swift.com for your direct flight to El Nido. For now, the airports in Puerto Princesa City and San Vicente are not yet allowing tourists to fly in.

5) Get an RT-PCR test within 2 days (48 hours) before your arrival in El Ndio.

In some ways, vacationing in El Nido will be similar to how it has been in the past. The big news is that you will be allowed to leave your hotel to go island-hopping or scuba diving! There will be very few people out on the islands, so this is your chance to experience El Nido without any crowds.

In other ways, your trip to El Nido will be very different than trips in the past. You will be authorized to leave your hotel or resort - but only to go to the islands. You can take meals in your hotel or resort, or you can request delivery - but we're not yet allowing Manila tourists to travel to restaurants in town. (As the gradual reopening proceeds and is a success, the plan is to relax these restrictions.) So please pick your hotel or resort carefully!

There really is no better time to visit the islands, as the weather this time of year tends to be sunny and the islands haven't been this roomy and uncrowded since the 2000s.

1. Can I visit beaches and other tourist attractions while in El Nido?

For everyone's safety, the we are asking the first travelers to here from Manila to be extra careful. Island-hopping and scuba-diving will be allowed, but trips to mainland beaches are not yet an option.

2. I am from Palawan, and will be visiting El Nido. What are the restrictions on my travels?
If you are a Palaweño, you can travel around Palawan like normal - including El Nido. We just ask that you observe the normal requirements (face mask, physical distancing, etc.).

3. Can I stay at a hotel or resorts that hasn't been accredited by the DOT?

All stays must be booked at a DOT-accredited hotel or resort with CAO. More hotels are applying for a Certificate of Authority to Operate.

4. Can I book a tour at a travel and tour operator that's not accredited by the DOT?
All island-hopping and scuba-diving must be booked through a DOT-accredited travel and tours operator with LSOC.

5. Can I fly in through Puerto Princesa instead? Puerto Princesa International Airport is still closed to tourists. As Palawan continues to open up, we will continue to revise our policies and gradually reopen.

6. Are there age restrictions for tourists?
None! Leisure travel to El Nido is open to all ages without underlying conditions and health risks.

▪️GUIDE FOR TOURISTS

Tourists are guests who intend to stay for at least one night in Boracay Island.

1. Access http://aklan.gov.ph or https://bit.ly/2QzbUkZ and click Online Health Declaration. Choose Boracay in the Where To page.

2. Fill out required fields and click submit.

3. Upon submission, a confirmation with instructions will be displayed.

4. Save as copy of the Health Declaration Card on your smartphone or if using a computer, have it printed.

5. Attach a copy of the Health Declaration Card together with a copy of RT-PCR Negative Result, a copy of confirmed booking slip/form and proof of identification and send to [email protected]

6. Wait for the email response (successful or unsuccessful) of the Final Validator. Processing takes less than a day after receipt of complete documents.

7. If processing is successful, a copy of Health Declaration Card with Tourist QR Code will be sent back. Present this Health Declaration Card with Tourist QR code to authorities in the borders for scanning.

8. If processing is unsuccessful, resubmission of requirements or clarification may be required.

Good news for Philippine passport holders!
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail has signed a directive approving a list of countries whose citizens can apply for e-visas.
The list comprises the 52 countries, including Philippines , whose citizens could apply for an e-visa during the pilot stage of the project.
The e-visa will be applicable throughout Russia. Foreigners can enter via the specially equipped checkpoints anywhere in the country and travel throughout Russia. In addition to this, the duration of a stay for foreigners has been extended from eight to 16 days.
E-visas will be issued online for tourism, business, humanitarian and guest trips. Applicants do not need an invitation, hotel booking or any other documents to confirm their reasons for travel. The consular fee is $40 (free for children aged under six).
