Pocahontas is our number four seed. She is thoughtful and compassionate. She seeks equailty and fairness. She knows basic hand to hand, and can use a bow and arrow. She can commune with the land and animals around her. She is a fast runner.
Her greatest weakness is her willingness ro speak the truth. She listens to her heart

Ariel (human) is the 13th seed. She is curious, passionate, and willing to go after what she wants. She has a beautiful singing voice, and makes friends easily. She saves Prince Eric from drowning. Can wield her father’s trident.
Weaknesses: contracts, lack of voice, new to her human body

Anna is the 8th seed. Anna is an uncoordinated child-like dreamer. She has a bubbly personality, and always seeks to help those around her. She is loyal and willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. She can throw a good punch. Weaknesses: too trusting, naive, clumsy, ice shards
Belle is the 9th seed. She is very smart and well educated. Her father is an inventor. Her kindness and compassion are her leading traits. She sees the good in others even when it is hard. Weaknesses: wolves, following instructions, not touching strange glowing flowers.

Mulan is the number one seed in our Princess Martial Arts Tournament. Mulan not only is tenacious, headstrong, and compassionate, but she also is a trained soldier. Mulan is proficient in hand to hand combat, sword play, bow and arrow, rocket launchers, and general martial arts. Her weaknesses are memorization and how to pour tea.

Snow White is the 16th seed. She is gentle, kind, and caring. She is always hopeful for a better tomorrow. She makes friends easily, and has many woodland animal companions. She is hardworking, good at cleaning, cooking, and baking. Her beautiful singing voice calls out to those around her and can hit glass-shattering highs. Her strengths also include shattering barriers and stereotypes by being the first full-length animated movie. Snow White’s weakness include apples and talking with strangers

Starting Monday, April 1st, your favorite Disney Princesses will go head to head in a Martial Arts Tournament (a la Dragon Ball or Mortal Kombat).

The rules are simple: You vote for the Princess that you believe could win in a physical fight. You can vote by commenting your favorite! You can also post your reasoning in the comments to try to persuade others to vote for your favorite.

Princess/General Leia Organa is the number one seed in the Wildcard Tournament for good reason: she can use the force, is self defense AND combat trained, and is proficient with a variety of weapons ranging from blasters to lightsabers. Not only is she strong and capable of defending herself, but she is also a great tactician. She is the adopted daughter of Senator Bail Organa and Queen Breha Organa, and the biological daughter of the powerful force-wielder Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and Senator Padmé Amidala Naberrie Skywalker (the former Queen of Naboo).
Leia’s weakness is her loyalty to the cause, and the loss of her entire planet. She defeated Vanellope to be here.

Princess Elinowy is the number 10 seed. She holds the dubious honor of being the Original Disney "Forgotten Princess." (She starred in the infamous 1985 movie “The Black Cauldron,” which was the first animated movie to receive the PG rating.) Despite her great personality, strong will, and intelligence, Elinowy is often thought of as weak. She successfully escapes the villain on her own, helps plan the ultimate win, and even helps rescue the heroes. She possesses some magical abilities. Elinowy is the Underdog of the Final Four, having pulled surprising upsets in her matches against the 7th seed Asha & Star, and 2nd seed Kiara.

She is outspoken and passionate about justice. She is called “The Finest Girl in France,” as an introduction to her dance routine that also featured acrobatic skills.

Weaknesses: fire, her own mouth

Queen Kida is the number 4 seed. Kida (Kidagakash Nedakh) is the daughter of King Kashekim of Atlantis (who was voiced by Leonard Nimoy). Kida is around 8,000 years old. She is a warrior princess with magical powers. She can heal injuries and raise the giant stone guardians of Atlantis. Her combat skills include spears, hand to hand, and extensive stealth skills. She is inquisitive by nature, and rather reserved until she knows she can trust you.
She beat Raya to be here.
Weakness: lack of knowledge about Atlantean history

Results: It was no surprise to the audience who would win this match. As soon as the bell rang 🔔🔔 Esmerelda was off, flipping through the air across the arena towards Alice. Performing a dramatic cartwheel-to-drop-split, Esmerelda then used her lower position to slap Alice’s “drink me” bottle out of her delicate hands.
The bottle flew across the arena shattering in the dirt. Alice looked as lost as when she asked the Cheshire Cat for directions. Poor girl. Catching sight of the dagger strapped to Esmerelda’s thigh, Alice very smartly chose to hop off the stage. Standing up gracefully, Esmerelda bowed to the audience, and P**F disappeared in a puff of purple smoke! Wowza! We will see her again in the winner-takes-all first match of the Final Four facing off against Kida of Atlantis!

In a surprising upset, Alice beat the number six seed, Melody, to move on to the second round.
Weaknesses: her own fears and misunderstandings; lack of combat skills

Results (that I thought I had posted yesterday!)

In a thrilling showdown, the arena witnessed an intense battle between the majestic lioness Kiara, armed with formidable claws, and the cunning Princess Elinowy from the Black Cauldron, whose strategic brilliance proved to be her greatest asset. Despite Kiara's raw strength, Elinowy's calculated maneuvers and wit kept her one step ahead. In a surprising turn of events, Elinowy emerged victorious, showcasing the power of intellect over brawn in a thrilling display of martial prowess.

Elinowy will go on to challenge Leia Organa in the Final Four

Kiara is the number two seed and the daughter of Simba and Nala. She is next in line to lead the pride at Pride Rock. She is adventurous and curious like her parents. Kiara often ventures out on her own and defies Simba’s wishes. She befriends and falls in love with Kovu, the son of Scar, who helps teach her to hunt. Her strong will and kind heart reunite the Pride Rock lion pride with the lion pride that had followed Scar. She has the makings of a great queen. As an adolescent lioness she is around 3-4 feet in length, weighing around 270 pounds. She can run 100 yards in less than 10 seconds.
Weaknesses: lions can only run in small bursts and have comparably low stamina.

An explanation of the results: First, this is an explanation of the process to get Sunday’s results. We had a tie in the votes. The tiebreaker protocol is to have my husband give his vote. (Not the best system, but it is what I have.)

And now for the match recap: It was a battle of epic proportions! In one corner, the fierce Princess Kida, representing Atlantis, and in the other, the brave warrior Raya from Kumandra. Round after round, they matched each other blow for blow, until the match ended in a thrilling tie. But hold onto your hats, folks, because it is time for overtime! With a relentless flurry of strikes, Kida emerged triumphant, securing her victory with a knockout blow for the ages! Kida moves on to the Final Four of the Wildcard Tournament!!!

The Results: The second round started out with a bang with the regal and fierce Leia Organa, representing the galaxy far, far away, facing off against the feisty and determined Vanellope von Schweetz from the world of pixels and code. With each strike and dodge, Leia's precision and strategic prowess clashed with Vanellope's agility and resourcefulness, creating a spectacle unlike any other seen in this arena. As the final bell rang, Leia emerged triumphant, her unwavering determination and skill earning her the admiration of the crowd, but let us not forget the valiant effort put forth by Vanellope, who fought with all her heart and soul, proving herself a worthy adversary to the very end.

Results: Well folks we had a massive turnout to see this showdown between Melody the Mermaid and Alice of Wonderland. The crowd was in for a real treat because Alice brought some cakes and tea from Wonderland! Alice quickly consumed a rather sketchy looking bottle of liquid labeled “Drink Me,” and absolutely blew the roof off the stadium by growing to the size of a giant! Melody swam out of the ring so fast we assume she’s halfway across the world now. What a strange match up! We will see Alice again when she faces Esmeralda in Round Two!

Melody is the number six seed. She is the only child of a Disney Princess (Ariel and Eric). She is a sassy, socially awkward, tomboy who inherited her mother’s curiosity. As a human-mermaid offspring she possesses superhuman powers like increased strength, speed, and lung capacity. She also can sing and dance well. She can wield her grandfather’s trident.

Results: In an absolute shutout of a match, Elinowy the Forgotten absolutely annihilated Asha and Star. Asha came to throw the first punch, but woosh! Elinowy dodged and used Asha’s momentum against her! KERFLAM! Asha and Star fell from the stage for a ring-out!
Seems we shouldn’t forget Elinowy! You’ll see her again in Round Two facing off against Kiara of the Pridelands!

The Results: In an absolute shocker of a match, Maid Marian took to the tournament stage and immediately walked over to Raya. The crowd held its breath in shock that the Motherly Maiden would make the first move. She extended a paw towards Raya, who cautiously took it. Maid Marian then raised Raya’s hand into the air and declared her the winner of the fight!
Raya moves on to the second round to fight Kida of Atlantis without even breaking a sweat!

The RESULTS:
It was a close match between the Megara the Greek GirlBoss and Vanellope the Glitching Wonder. They were neck and neck all the way to the end when Vanellope pulled a glitched out sucker punch 🥊 right to Meg’s weak ankles. WHAM she was down for the count.
We will be seeing Vanellope again when she faces off against Princess Leia Organa in the second round!

Welcome everyone to March Madness! This year I have organized a Princess Tournament where your favorite Disney Princesses will go head to head in a Martial Arts Tournament (like Dragon Ball or Mortal Combat)
All combatants have appeared in animation at some point.

First we will start with the Wildcard Tournament! These characters are the “rejects” of the Disney Princesses: they either are technically princesses or have been included in the “Disney Princess” group in the past!
