Hey all! I want to share something (free) that helped me out in simplifying my life down to the handful of things that really matter...

"A little guide to a happy life, written by you"

I wrote this book a year ago, and its free to download on Amazon Kindle for the next 5 days. (If it tries to charge you don't pay, just check back tomorrow as the free deal runs from the 19th to 23rd)

The idea is, once or twice a year taking a systematic look at your life, what you need, what youre missing, and realistic steps to make it a reality as well as some encouraging words to yourself - then put it away until next year. But, if you hit any rough patches during the year you can always pull out these notes that will remind you what to prioritize and some realistic steps to get back on track (written by you when you were in a better state).

Over the years these notes turn into an actual guide with encouragement and is almost like consulting a best friend that knows you really well and has your best interests at heart.

Ive been doing this for 10 years and its added a whole new level of intention and effectiveness in achieving lasting happiness. The approacg def doesnt work overnight, but it has amazing results in the long run.

The book isnt perfect, but its free, and a great start to a "life designing" approach. Feel free to share the link with others while its free. I hope it helps someone out!

Good luck!

The "Financial Independence and Retire Early" is by far the most valuable philosophy I've discovered. The straight forward ideas on saving and investing allowed me to reach financial independence and semi-retire (now traveling the world) at 36 years old. My only regret, is I wish I'd discovered the ideas sooner. In this article, I share everything I've learned about the FIRE movement and how to use it to empower your saving, investing, and early retirement so you too can travel the world, endlessly.

Financial independence is something many people dream of but few people realize is possible. However, the fast-spreading FIRE Movement is quickly sharing financial independence savvy …

This is the recommended reading list from a book I'll be publishing soon on analyzing your life and crafting a path to an ideal life for you called "A Little Guide to a Happy Life, Written by You."

The idea behind this book list is to deliver introductory level knowledge on the foundational areas of life, making us aware of what we might be lacking, and to better plan for growth in the future toward what an "ideal life" looks like for each of us.

The book guides the reader through an exercise I've done every 6 months for the past 15 years, that forces a look at what your ideal life would be and how to get there through the following 5 steps.

1. Eliciting conscious and unconscious needs, desires, and values)
2. Checking that you're investing in a balanced way across life - Personal, Emotional, Physical, Social & Relationship, Material Possessions, and Location
3. Comparing where your effort is going in life currently to where it would need to go to build your perfect life and not to unconsciously wasted areas
4. Making a list of actionable steps to slowly sculpt your current life into an ideal one
5. And then boiling it down to tasks/steps and advice that go into a permanent journal.

At the end of this process, I promise you'll have more clarity on your life than ever before.

**Summary: I published a manual on kindle for making a full time income (semi-passive) from blogging, and I'm making it free to download Christmas day.**

Hey everyone. As most of you know, I've 100% given up on the corporate world and have been traveling and doing the expat life for the past 4 years and LOVE IT. I get asked a lot what I do for a living and how I pay for it and the answer is - Blogging. Yup. On my main site (A Brother Abroad) I make about double the average US income and I get to write about the things I enjoy most - travel, fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and self development development. And beyond that I have sites on personal finance, expat living, and food/cooking. It's great.

Last year when the pandemic hit, people were losing their jobs and looking for opportunities, I took on the project of writing a manual for how I, and a handful of other people I know, make a full time paycheck for part time work, writing articles and self publishing (aka blogging). I felt like this (building a blog for semi-passive income) could be the solution to a lot of hard times people were going through. I slacked on the project but - finally - closed out the first part of the project.

Yesterday I published the "beta version" of the kindle book - a manual for building a profitable blog.

The goal isn't to get rich, goal is to share knowledge of the opportunity and the lessons I wish I had from the beginning.

I'm making the kindle version free to download on December 25, Christmas day, so everyone can have access to this. And you'll automatically get the book update when I republish the refined version.

A 476 page manual for beginners baked directly from the notebook I've kept for the last 3 years, and covers SEO, how to build a website, how to draw readers, how to setup your website to pay a semi-passive income, all of the essentials you need to know about Google, and more.

If you are persistent enough to write for 1 year and 100 articles, you can 100% generate a location independent income of ~$3000 a month.

Feel free to share this with anyone you think could use the opportunity so they can download for free as well.

I'm also up to answer any questions on the topic..

Thanks a ton for all of the support of the last few years. I hope this repays a little bit of the support through the struggle.

Merry Christmas peeps!

Did you know it is a common practice to move to a different country for a cheaper cost of living or just to be surrounded by the things you love in a more accessible way? Think of moving to Italy or Florence for a wine harvest season, or moving to Albania to make a year's salary last 5 years while living on the same riviera shared with Greece, or lowering your cost of living so you can owkr less and work on passion projects more.

That is geoarbitrage. That is how I live my life everyday, and I wish everyone else did too.

Click to discover more about geoarbitrage, then come back here and ask any questions you have - let's see if we can get you to the country you're supposed to be in.

I set out to identify the 100 best to disappear to for a while based on quality of life, cost of living, travel opportunities nearby, ease of visa, and how good the infrastructure is for nomads (connectivity, coworking, cafes, friendliness to remote workers).
