¡Descubre el icónico Faro de Mazatlán!
Mazatlán alberga a uno de los puertos de altura más antiguos e importantes del Pacífico mexicano. Como todo puerto, posee un faro con nombre propio: el Faro Mazatlán.

Este majestuoso faro, edificado sobre una isla rocosa o crestón, con sus 157 metros de altura, se sitúa como el primer faro asentado en montículos naturales, más alto del mundo en operación, brindando vistas espectaculares para toda la familia. 🌅

💡 La mejor hora para subir es al amanecer (alrededor de 6:45 am) y al atardecer (16:00-18:45), pues además de ser el mejor horario para disfrutar las espectaculares vistas del sol y del océano, te permitirá evitar las multitudes.

Mexico has a a variety of climates but did you know that it has 2️⃣ different tropical climates? Perfect to enjoy your next vacation 🏝

- Tropical wet climate is the same climate as of the Amazon rainforest 🌳. In Mexico this is the climate of the Gulf Coast Plain in southern Veracruz and Tabasco, Oaxaca and Chiapas highlands. The rains 🌧 fall all year, varying from about 120–150 mm (4–5 in) in April to 380 mm (15 in) in September.

- Tropical wet-and-dry has a pronounced dry season. The dry ☀️ winter months typically get less than 40 mm (1 in) of rain, compared to over 150 mm (6 in) in each of the summer months. Much of coastal Mexico, along the Pacific coast, central and northern Veracruz and most of the Yucatán Peninsula also have this tropical climate with summer rains.

Holbox island was founded by pirates over 150 years ago, this freshwater lagoon attracted passing pirate ships, and some decided to stay and live with the local Mayas. Descendants of the 8 original families still live on Isla Holbox today.

Holbox has other interesting facts:

🏝️ Most of the roads are sand and not paved
🏝️ Transportation is with golf carts, motor bikes, and bicycles
🏝️ May through October is considered “whale shark season”
🏝️ The island is separated by the mainland of the Yucatan Peninsula by a shallow lagoon
🏝️ You can only access the island with a ferry

Día de Mu***os, or Day of the Dead 💀 is not a Mexican version of Halloween. Though related, the two annual events differ greatly in traditions, dates and tone.

Even if the theme is also death, Mexican look to demonstrate love and respect for deceased family members. In towns and cities throughout Mexico, catrinas and catrins hold parades and parties, sing and dance and make offerings to lost loved ones.
