Welcome to day 4, our Day at Sea!

This was the most relaxing day on the entire cruise!! Kev and I woke up pretty leisurely. We didn’t want to go to breakfast or anything because we had a brunch reservation at Palo so we opted to start our morning with leftover wedding cake on our verandah. Once done we got ready to go to our Palo reservation at 10:30.

Palo Brunch was one of the best meals I have had ever! (We defiantly preferred Palo Brunch to Palo Dinner but more on that tomorrow!) Palo Brunch is a multi course prefix all you care to enjoy meal. We ordered at least one thing from each course. We started off with the complimentary beverage, we both choose to do a mimosa, then our incredible server Freya brought out delicious breads and spreads, we only ordered one of the Antipasti to share, we went with the meat and cheese selection and I wish we had ordered one of each, but we were afraid we would be too full. The meat and cheese one was lovely (except for the olives I hate olives) our next course was Soup and we both ordered The tomato soup and oh my gosh was it one of, if not, the best tomato soup either have us have had, it was so creamy and such a good flavor profile l, perfectly seasoned, perfection! While we were enjoying our soup, our lovely server Freya came over and said the family at the table across from us recognized us from our wedding day and bought us each a Bellini as a congratulatory gift. It was such a sweet gesture and the Bellinis were delicious, so if you’re reading this thank you again! We then moved into the waffles & pancakes corse. We each ordered a Mickey waffle Kev’s was the apple cinnamon which was delicious and mine was the strawberries one which was incredible! These were the best Mickey Waffles we had onboard and very much reminded us of the ones we get at the Grand Floridian Cafe in Disney World! Next we moved into the Eggs course, I took our server’s recommendation and ordered the eggs Benedict and I’m so glad I did! It was one of the best Benedict’s I’ve ever had, the egg was not as runny as most people probably enjoy but I felt it was the perfect amount of runny to cooked to give the overall dish a perfect texture! Kev ordered the Three Cheese omelet and it was good but after he tasted mine he just wasn’t impressed with his entree. Next was pizza, the best pizza I’ve ever had by Disney! We ordered one pizza to split we did half Margherita and half spicy Italian sausage, both were phenomenal. Our final Savory dish was the main entree we both went with the fan favorite the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and we were both WOWED! It was perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy and oddly enough the creamy rice risotto they pair with it was delicious as well and really did bring out the flavor profile of the chicken! Finally it was time for dessert, we ordered 3 desserts to share the Warm Amaretto Chocolate Fondant Served with Espresso Gelato (basically a homemade fancy lava cake) it was incredible and the espresso gelato was delicious! We also got the Raspberry Chocolate Crunch Tart with Bittersweet Ganache, fresh Raspberries and Whipped Cream and the Traditional Tiramisu with Coffee. Both were excellent the raspberry tart was very much that raspberry and tart with a hint of chocolate it was very good if you like tart things we defiantly recommend! The tiramisu was defiantly different than what I was expecting but still incredible! When Freya brought out all the desserts she also brought out this beautiful plate that was decorated with chocolate to say Congratulations! It was so sweet and we really appreciated the thought.

Now brunch usually costs $45 per person and is not usually included with our wedding package, dinner however is included which we had originally had booked for the same night but we spoke with guest relations, the wedding coordinator and the manager to have our Palo Dinner reservation moved to our honeymoon sailing so we could enjoy our last dinner with our guests, and since we were doing a back to back sailing they were more than happy to accommodate, but instead of comping our dinner on the 2nd sailing they comped our brunch which I really was appreciative about, such incredible flexibility and the impeccable service!

After brunch we headed to our room to change into our swimsuits and headed up to the quiet Cove Pool where a majority of our family and friends were hanging out. We swam for a little bit and then decided to go ride the Aqua Duck for the first time! Oh my that’s something you don’t want to miss on your next Disney cruise, it was so much fun but be warned the person in the back will get waves of water every time you do a dip! We had such a blast and the posted wait time was 45 minutes it took us 7 minutes from the time we got in line to the time we got to the top of the stairs! After we headed back to the cove pool to hang out until 2.

At 2:00 it was time to head to Senses Spa because we had a reservation for the Rainforest room. The rainforest room cost $175 for a party of 10 for an hour and 45 minutes of exclusive use of the rainforest room in its entirety. While we would have loved to have the entire wedding group join us, due to the limited capacity we choose to invite only our bridal party and our photographers as their final thank you gift. The rainforest room was more incredible than I expected. Inside they had towels, robes and flip flops for our use as well as water for our enjoyment. As you turned the corner there were 3 specialty showers all with different functions and settings. Another shower that was a cool mist, this was very chilly and a great way to shock your system. There was then a Sauna and 2 different steam rooms. The sauna had this beautiful view of the ocean. One steam room was less intense and had stadium style seating similar to then sauna. The other, was a much more intense steam room and the seating was more wide spread and flat there was an easy place to lay down and the stone seating was wide enough for me to sit cross cross and meditate. This one was hands down my favorite and hands down Kev’s least favorite. As you make your way to the outside there are these delightful stone chairs that are heated these were defiantly a fan favorite and felt so good on my lower back and my bad leg. Finally after walking out one more set of doors there was the jetted hot tubs in an open air room with windows floor to ceiling. It was true bliss and relaxation.

After the time in the rainforest room kev & I stopped by the smoothie bar in Senses and had a delicious smoothie and chatted some more with Claire and Rob who surprised us with an very small 10 photo sneak peek which they air dropped to me! Once we were done our smoothie Kev and I headed back to the room to relax before getting ready for dinner.

On our way to dinner we found a Cruising Elsa Duck. Something we learned right before our trip is that it’s pretty popular for families to buy and bring rubber ducks to hide around the ship for other people to find! We brought the Elsa duck down to Animator’s Pallet and hid it on the sign as we were entering for dinner.

We really loved Animator’s pallet it was a big hit for the whole group food wise and aesthetically. Kev and I each started out with the black truffle pasta which was so delicious! I also got the incredible baked potato and cheddar cheese soup. Then I ordered the pasta dish and the Chipotle Black Bean Cakes, both were delicious! Kev got the pork Chop and the beef I option and he really really loved both. For dessert, I’ve got the cookies and cream sundae and I got the lemon ice box cake which was Devine!

After dinner we made a quick trip up to the room so my sister could grab something she forgot earlier in the trip. And we found a fun towel animal along with our Disney Fairytale Weddings branded cake cutting set a long with this adorable towel animal.

We headed back down to the Walt Disney Theater to go see Disney’s Believe. While waiting in line I found another rubber ducky! I gave it to my sister to hide so I’m not sure what she did with it. Believe was a super cute show but we still all loved the Beauty and the Beast show more. After the show we did some shopping and headed over to the District to get ready for 80s Music Trivia. Following Trivia was another session of Silent Dance party which seemed like the perfect way to end the night! After we were all done we all headed back to our rooms. Kev and I put on Cool Runnings, ordered some room service and finally went to bed.

Welcome to day 3, the happiest day of my life so far!!

My alarm went off right at 5AM and before I could even turn it off room service was knocking at my door with my bagel and cream cheese, a sprite (for my pregnant sister’s mockmosa) and nearly a dozen glasses of orange juice for the mimosas we planned on having later that morning!

After getting the room service settled I turned on finding Nemo and quickly ate my breakfast. Once done I was up and doing my morning hygiene routine before sitting down to do my makeup. Around 6:20 my beautiful bridal party and mama showed up already with their hair and makeup done ready for the day! Just before 6:30 my wedding dress was delivered by my wonderful wedding coordinators. I finished putting in my extensions and both of my amazing photographers showed up just as the sun was rising at 6:30. They took some candid shots of me finishing my hair before taking my dress on a tour of the ship to snag some beautiful photos.

They returned just in time for us popping champagne and making mimosas. We got some cute shots before they did all these gorgeous detail shots and then they both headed to the boys room to do a few shots there. Claire returned by herself to capture a few more shots of me as we pulled in to Disney’s Private Island, Castaway Cay. It was then about time to get me into my dress. My aunt was the only one in the room who hadn’t seen me in the dress yet and I’m pretty white she shed a tear or two when she finally did! We got a few more shots before I released all the girls except my lovely MOH who assisted us up to deck 13 where Kev and I were meeting for our first look!

I could see Kev’s back to us as I was walking up and immediately got tears in my eyes. I was so nervous and excited to show him my dress and to just see him after 9 hours of being apart 😂. When Claire told me her and Rob were ready I gave kev the ok to turn around and everything became so real. The look on his face as tears started to appear in his eyes was more than I could have ever hoped for. We exchanged our private vows and of course I was crying.

After we had our first look and exchanged private vows, we wall went around the ship getting some pre ceremony photos. At about 9:00 our photographers took a break to grab something to eat, kev walked me up to the room where I was to wait for our coordinators to come get me at 9:40. Kev went back down to the atrium to meet the rest of our bridal party and guest who were all escorted off the ship at 9:15 onto a private tram to take them to the Heads up Bar right by wedding pointe.

While I waited in my room by myself I had 20 minutes of some much needed quiet time before the ceremony. I watched The beginning of Monster’s Inc and then Claire came back to my room around 9:25 and of course she she spilled some tea and chatted with me while we waited for Ayumi to come get us. We were then escorted down and off the ship to a golf cart. On my way off the ship I ran into none other than Captain Jack Sparrow and we had a little chat about my wedding and how expensive my dress looked. While on the golf cart so many people were waving, congratulating me and so excited to see me as if I was a Disney Princess in a parade. It was like a dream come true! We pull up near the hub by the pelican point tram stop and waited. The Director of Castaway Cay came up and chatted with me, I asked if there was anyway I could get a cup of water because my throat was so dry, she ran over to the bar and got me a bottle of water and we chatted for a little while longer while we waited.

Finally it was time for the ceremony and as we were approaching I could see my bridal party and my groom all lined up and realized no one was moving, and then I realized the wrong song was playing! I let Ayumi know and I clearly saw Kev tell the other coordinator but Ayumi was very efficient and ran over to the table to have the song changed. Luckily my bridal party payed attention during our very very quick rehearsal on the first day and knew that it wasn’t the right song and refused to go!

I watched everyone walk down the aisle and when the song changed it was my turn I instantly got butterflies. I walked by myself about 3/4 of the way and then my very handsome groom escorted me up to the alter. As I was walking up I could see so many people crying, all happy tears and the only emotion I could feel was euphoria. Kev and I wrote our script but much like the engagement I couldn’t tell you what was said. I do know the one line Kev insisted on saying was the one line he forgot, but no worries our lovely officiant had him repeat it. We exchanged rings and when she finally said you can kiss your bride I was just so excited. I could have stayed in that moment forever.

The song changed to my edited cut of Happily Ever After while we were getting in place for group photos and I was just jamming out with the few people who knew the song! I know a lot of great moments were captured and I can’t wait to see those photos! They provided everyone with bottled water while we were on the dock, Both of our on board coordinators were making sure both Kev and I drank water between shots, Rob even took one of my water bottles to keep in his tool belt so we would have it if I needed it later! We got lots of group photos and then all our guest were put back on the tram and escorted back to the ship and up to the Outlook Lounge for our cake and champagne.

Kev, Claire, Rob, & I hopped on the golf cart and took the scenic route back so we could stop along the way to get some incredible shots by Mt. Rushmore, on the beach with just the ship in the back, the iconic Castaway Cay sign and we got so lucky to get some photos with Mickey and Captain Jack Sparrow!

We were then escorted up to the outlook, my mother and sister came out to bustle my dress. I was clearly overheating and needed water and our AMAZING shore side coordinator Faith (just for reference she usually doesn’t go on the cruises so it was extra special she was there!) got me water and then went and got a cold wet paper towel and wiped it along the back of my neck to help cool me down before going into outlook. It was finally time and our photographers had our bridal party line up at the door with the no mess streamers so wen we entered they popped them and we got pretty tangled but it was so much fun!

We went right into our first dance to “My Side of the Fence” by Dan + Shay. It was literally perfect and felt like I was dancing in the kitchen with Kev and no one else was there. After that we went into speeches from our best man and maid of honor followed up with a quick few words from me and then it was time to cut the cake! We had a two tiered cake, the top tier was vanilla with lemon citrus buttercream and the bottom was chocolate with cookies and cream buttercream both flavors were incredible and I highly recommend them! We finished off the reception with some mingling with our guest and me trying to cool off again.

After the reception everyone went down to deck 12 in front of the Disney Dream’s iconic red smoke stacks to get a few more group and family shots before everyone was released to go enjoy the island for the rest of them day.

Kev and I went with Claire and Rob got just a few more photos before heading to cabanas for lunch. While sitting down for lunch a pretty bad migraine started coming on so we told Claire and Rob we needed a break for a couple hours. Kev and I went back to our room I took out my extensions, took off my eyelashes, had Kev get me out of my dress and I took a nap. We woke up I put in my extensions, put my lashes back on fixed my makeup got back in my dress and we were good to go get some photos in the atrium with the characters. Claire and Rob met up with us and we got to meet Donald and Minnie before dinner. These were some of the best character interactions we have had ever. Donald tried to steal me from my husband, but ya girl is loyal to her bestie Daisy(and kev) and put Donald in his place. I also lived out one of my dreams and that was twirling with Minnie while I was in my wedding dress! After meeting with them it was time to head to dinner.

We didn’t have to go far because our dinner was at Royal Palace again but tonight was the pirate menu. Now I don’t remember everything we ordered but I do know the Treasure of the Seas Pasta was incredible and I would eat that everyday if they let me! I believe I also got the beef dish for the night but it didn’t stand out like the seafood pasta! For dessert we got the bananas in paradise, the chocolate rum cake, and the salted caramel cheesecake. Our servers also brought out a special dessert for kev and I to share for our wedding it was a dark chocolate cake. The only dessert I didn’t enjoy was the rum cake, I felt the rum flavor was very very strong and I personally don’t like rum. I also do usually like banana flavored things especially banana bread but I think the bananas in paradise was my favorite dessert of the night! The salted caramel cheese cake was incredibly good too!

After dinner we were in the atrium and Pirate stitch came out I immediately jumped in his line and texted Claire seeing if her and Rob could meet us so we could get photos with stitch and of course she said yes they ran and got their gear and met us in line! Stitch is mine and Kev’s favorite character so we were both ecstatic to get photos with him on our wedding day! After that Claire and Rob took us around the ship to create some really cool night art! I can’t wait to see how these shots came out because these weren’t in our sneak peek photos but the few she showed us on the camera display while we were shooting were incredible!

After we were done Kev and I had about an hour before we planned on meeting up with the rest of our guest and ended up heading back to the room, which was a big mistake because once we were in our room I started to calm down and realized how sick I was feeling from the dehydration from sweating literally all day. Kev got me out of my dress and into a cold shower to cool off and then I laid down and ended up falling asleep before 10. But when we did go back to our room we found our leftover cake from our reception, along with the flower decor from the reception and rose petals made into a heart on the bed. The also placed our wedding certificate from DCL on the bed with my stitch doll holding it along with two towel love birds.

It was such a perfect day and even though I had to wait 9 years for it, it was 1000% worth the wait!

Welcome to day 2, Nassau!!

So our morning started around 8 where we got up and started getting ready for our day. As we were finishing up we were able to sit on our verandah and watch as we pulled in to port at Nassau! We could see so many beautiful things such as the famous Straw Market, the gorgeous Turquoise water and white sandy beaches.

After we docked we headed downstairs to the atrium to meet up with some of our guest for breakfast in Royal Palace. When we got to the atrium I was surprise to see not only Donald and Goofy but none other than Goofy’s son Max (an ultra rare character!) the line was so long so we did not get in line as we were running a tad late for breakfast but it was incredible to see such a rare character!

We headed to breakfast at Royal Palace where we had all sorts of food and to be honest this breakfast was not the best. I was to just chalk it up to the fact that we were some of the last groups to attend breakfast and so the kitchen was rushing to close on time but whatever it was it was one of my least favorite meals on board.

After breakfast we joined the virtual queue to disembark. We waited all of two minutes and our group was called. We disembarked and it was quite the long walk to the entrance of the island but the views of the water were beautiful! Once we got through the security gate is where I got a little anxious and overwhelmed and some real culture shock, because EVERYBODY is in your face trying to sell you something, a ride an excursion, a souvenir. Luckily my little sister was there along with kev and her lovely boyfriend Adam to keep me calm. We were able to walk through the sea of people and start our extremely long walk to Junkanoo Beach. The walk would have been much more enjoyable if we were able to walk straight there but it’s a walk that winds you up and down different streets to get you there due to parks of the beach being private for hotel guests. Once there we were able to enjoy the sandy beach and gorgeous water for a little while. We decided on our walk back to grab a taxi to avoid the chaos from earlier, we had a lovely women who pointed out a lot of incredible facts and landmarks on our way a back to port. Once back at port we had to show our proof of vaccination, our proof of citizenship and our key to the world card before entering the port security gate.

Once we were finally back onboard, kev and I made a quick stop in our room and at Tow Mater’s Grill for lunch before heading up to satellite falls to spend the afternoon. We got incredible views of the island from up there, enjoyed a few drinks with some of our guests, and sat in the lovely shallow pool soaking up the sun and warmth! We ran into our lovely photographers and chatted with them for a while.

Around 3:30 we headed back down to our room. I had to shower and complete a Wash Day routine so my hair would be day 2 ready for the wedding the next day and Kev had plans to go do some virtual golf with his groomsmen at Goofy’s Sports Deck. By the time Kev was back I was almost done diffusing my hair.

He got ready for dinner and then we watched the ship pull out of port from our verandah. Once ready for dinner we headed down to Royal Palace for one of my favorite meals on the ship! We started with the chilled shrimp and lobster appetizer and tried Escargot for the first time, which was one of my favorite appetizers on the whole trip! We loved it so much we ordered a 2nd one to split. For our entrees I ordered the lobster pasta and the prime rib both were amazing and blew me away and I would eat both again and again! Kev got the lamb chop and the prime rib he really loved the lamb! For dessert we ordered the Soufflé, crÚme brûlée, and the signature chocolate cake. All were good but one stood out to be my ultimate favorite of the trip and that was the crÚme brûlée!

After dinner all 16 of headed to the Walt Disney Theater to see Beauty and the Beast! It was such an incredible show and recommend if you’re going on the Disney Dream be sure to carve out time to see it! After the show kev and I headed upstairs to our stateroom where we were surprised to find gifts left for us from Disney Fairytale Weddings, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries along with a goodie bag from guest services! Kev then packed what he needed to get ready for the wedding the next morning as he was sleeping in his Groomsmen’s, Seth, room as that’s where the boys were getting ready and he didn’t want to wake up at 5 am with me 😂. I changed into PJs and the. We headed up to deck 12 to meet up with our friends Mina and Herman to watch FIREWORKS AT SEA, Disney Ever After! Clair and Rob also met up with us and had their camera to grab some incredible shots of us watching the fireworks.

At the end of the night Kev walked me back to the room and we said our goodbyes until the next day when we would be seeing each other for the first time in our wedding attire. I wrote out my vows in my bow book got everything together for the morning so it would go more smoothly placed my room service order on the outside of my door, put on a movie and went to sleep.

Welcome to Day 1 of our trip report! This one’s going to be a long one but it has lots of great details!

We arrived at the port around 10AM, as we were some of the very first people to arrive we had to wait to enter the parking garage because the garage didn’t open until 10:15. (PAT 10:15-3:45) they did however take our checked bags while we waited.

Once the parking grace was opened we proceeded to the payment booth and then to the Covid testing on the ground floor. We we’re the first ones tested the whole process took about 10 minutes then we were sent up stairs to park and wait. We parked on the 3rd floor as it’s the same floor as the walkway over to the port. We anxiously waited about 25 minutes and then we finally got the Cleared to sail notification!

We headed over to security but we’re held outside since they were still waiting to clear the B2Ber’s (who are escorted through security first) going through security was a little bit of a hassle but we eventually made it through we were given an envelope from our onboard wedding coordinators at checkin confirming our appointment at 1:30.

We then headed up into the terminal to wait. They eventually allowed us to start boarding around 12. Once boarded we watched the welcome show in the atrium then ran over to guest relations to drop off our wedding attire to be steamed. Once done that we went to do our Muster drill which was quick and easy.
We were then free to explore but we needed to make one more stop at the spa to try to make an appointment for the rainforest room. We successfully scored a session on the day and time we wanted it and then we made our way to Cabana’s for lunch. I was not super impressed with most of the food there for lunch I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and chicken tenders as well as the desserts that were incredible! We hung out in cabanas until about 1:20 and during that time we got a text from everyone that they were all cleared to sail! A huge sigh of relief was the text from our amazing photographers Claire & Rob from letting us know they were both clear to sail!

At 1:30 we headed to the atrium to meet with our onboard wedding coordinators to go over all the details of our day. We were surprised to meet our Shoreside coordinator, Faith, who was amazing making sure everything was translated correctly and made sure we understood everything. Having her there was such a special treat as most couples never get to meet their shoreside coordinator!

2:00 our rooms were ready! We decided to stop by to see our room and our view while dropping off some of our stuff we carried on. We were surprised when we walked through the door to see a fruit basket and chocolate covered strawberries from Disney waiting for us!

Our luggage was delivered by 3 and we decided to unpack a little before meeting up with some of our group.

4:00 we headed up to Currents for a pre dinner drink and a meet up with all our wedding guest! We also ran through a very quick mini rehearsal for our bridal party so they knew what to expect!

5:45 was Dinner time for our group we had dinner at Enchanted Garden where we met our OUTSTANDING serving team (Mr. Witt, Genesis, & Gil) Mr. Witt took time to come talk to Kev and I and inform us that he choose some of the best seats in the house for each dining room and planned to put as many of our tables together as possible in each dining room! Dinner was outstanding. We had the Ahi Tuna Tower and lobster ravioli for our appetizer, both were incredible, the Ahi Tuna Tower really wow’ed me! We then had the Prime Rib and the Sea Bass! Both were great but the Sea Bass was the clear winner for me! We ordered 3 Desserts to split, the Chocolate cake, the souther pecan tart and the warm sticky Date pudding, and when I say we LOVED the date pudding I’m not lying! Kev said it was the best dessert he has ever had and ordered it multiple nights during our sailing. 10/10 would recommend you try that one!

After dinner we took a little time to finish unpacking and then before we knew it it was time to go out bar hopping for my bachelorette party! We had so much fun, we hit happy hour at Pink we’re we got the Icy Pop (defiantly recommend!) and the Ring of Bubbles! They gave us some Mini Macaroons to snack on while we enjoyed our drinks. We then headed over to Pub 687 to finish off their happy hour with some beer! I had their exclusive 687 beer and it was delightful! They also serve bar snacks in the late night hours! We decided to stick around and play some movie quote trivia before heading to evolution for some adult game shows and then finished the night with Silent DJ Dance party which was so much fun!

Day 1 was extremely busy and a bit overwhelming but it was such an incredible start to our trip!
