Welcome to day 4, our Day at Sea!
This was the most relaxing day on the entire cruise!! Kev and I woke up pretty leisurely. We didnât want to go to breakfast or anything because we had a brunch reservation at Palo so we opted to start our morning with leftover wedding cake on our verandah. Once done we got ready to go to our Palo reservation at 10:30.
Palo Brunch was one of the best meals I have had ever! (We defiantly preferred Palo Brunch to Palo Dinner but more on that tomorrow!) Palo Brunch is a multi course prefix all you care to enjoy meal. We ordered at least one thing from each course. We started off with the complimentary beverage, we both choose to do a mimosa, then our incredible server Freya brought out delicious breads and spreads, we only ordered one of the Antipasti to share, we went with the meat and cheese selection and I wish we had ordered one of each, but we were afraid we would be too full. The meat and cheese one was lovely (except for the olives I hate olives) our next course was Soup and we both ordered The tomato soup and oh my gosh was it one of, if not, the best tomato soup either have us have had, it was so creamy and such a good flavor profile l, perfectly seasoned, perfection! While we were enjoying our soup, our lovely server Freya came over and said the family at the table across from us recognized us from our wedding day and bought us each a Bellini as a congratulatory gift. It was such a sweet gesture and the Bellinis were delicious, so if youâre reading this thank you again! We then moved into the waffles & pancakes corse. We each ordered a Mickey waffle Kevâs was the apple cinnamon which was delicious and mine was the strawberries one which was incredible! These were the best Mickey Waffles we had onboard and very much reminded us of the ones we get at the Grand Floridian Cafe in Disney World! Next we moved into the Eggs course, I took our serverâs recommendation and ordered the eggs Benedict and Iâm so glad I did! It was one of the best Benedictâs Iâve ever had, the egg was not as runny as most people probably enjoy but I felt it was the perfect amount of runny to cooked to give the overall dish a perfect texture! Kev ordered the Three Cheese omelet and it was good but after he tasted mine he just wasnât impressed with his entree. Next was pizza, the best pizza Iâve ever had by Disney! We ordered one pizza to split we did half Margherita and half spicy Italian sausage, both were phenomenal. Our final Savory dish was the main entree we both went with the fan favorite the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and we were both WOWED! It was perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy and oddly enough the creamy rice risotto they pair with it was delicious as well and really did bring out the flavor profile of the chicken! Finally it was time for dessert, we ordered 3 desserts to share the Warm Amaretto Chocolate Fondant Served with Espresso Gelato (basically a homemade fancy lava cake) it was incredible and the espresso gelato was delicious! We also got the Raspberry Chocolate Crunch Tart with Bittersweet Ganache, fresh Raspberries and Whipped Cream and the Traditional Tiramisu with Coffee. Both were excellent the raspberry tart was very much that raspberry and tart with a hint of chocolate it was very good if you like tart things we defiantly recommend! The tiramisu was defiantly different than what I was expecting but still incredible! When Freya brought out all the desserts she also brought out this beautiful plate that was decorated with chocolate to say Congratulations! It was so sweet and we really appreciated the thought.
Now brunch usually costs $45 per person and is not usually included with our wedding package, dinner however is included which we had originally had booked for the same night but we spoke with guest relations, the wedding coordinator and the manager to have our Palo Dinner reservation moved to our honeymoon sailing so we could enjoy our last dinner with our guests, and since we were doing a back to back sailing they were more than happy to accommodate, but instead of comping our dinner on the 2nd sailing they comped our brunch which I really was appreciative about, such incredible flexibility and the impeccable service!
After brunch we headed to our room to change into our swimsuits and headed up to the quiet Cove Pool where a majority of our family and friends were hanging out. We swam for a little bit and then decided to go ride the Aqua Duck for the first time! Oh my thatâs something you donât want to miss on your next Disney cruise, it was so much fun but be warned the person in the back will get waves of water every time you do a dip! We had such a blast and the posted wait time was 45 minutes it took us 7 minutes from the time we got in line to the time we got to the top of the stairs! After we headed back to the cove pool to hang out until 2.
At 2:00 it was time to head to Senses Spa because we had a reservation for the Rainforest room. The rainforest room cost $175 for a party of 10 for an hour and 45 minutes of exclusive use of the rainforest room in its entirety. While we would have loved to have the entire wedding group join us, due to the limited capacity we choose to invite only our bridal party and our photographers as their final thank you gift. The rainforest room was more incredible than I expected. Inside they had towels, robes and flip flops for our use as well as water for our enjoyment. As you turned the corner there were 3 specialty showers all with different functions and settings. Another shower that was a cool mist, this was very chilly and a great way to shock your system. There was then a Sauna and 2 different steam rooms. The sauna had this beautiful view of the ocean. One steam room was less intense and had stadium style seating similar to then sauna. The other, was a much more intense steam room and the seating was more wide spread and flat there was an easy place to lay down and the stone seating was wide enough for me to sit cross cross and meditate. This one was hands down my favorite and hands down Kevâs least favorite. As you make your way to the outside there are these delightful stone chairs that are heated these were defiantly a fan favorite and felt so good on my lower back and my bad leg. Finally after walking out one more set of doors there was the jetted hot tubs in an open air room with windows floor to ceiling. It was true bliss and relaxation.
After the time in the rainforest room kev & I stopped by the smoothie bar in Senses and had a delicious smoothie and chatted some more with Claire and Rob who surprised us with an very small 10 photo sneak peek which they air dropped to me! Once we were done our smoothie Kev and I headed back to the room to relax before getting ready for dinner.
On our way to dinner we found a Cruising Elsa Duck. Something we learned right before our trip is that itâs pretty popular for families to buy and bring rubber ducks to hide around the ship for other people to find! We brought the Elsa duck down to Animatorâs Pallet and hid it on the sign as we were entering for dinner.
We really loved Animatorâs pallet it was a big hit for the whole group food wise and aesthetically. Kev and I each started out with the black truffle pasta which was so delicious! I also got the incredible baked potato and cheddar cheese soup. Then I ordered the pasta dish and the Chipotle Black Bean Cakes, both were delicious! Kev got the pork Chop and the beef I option and he really really loved both. For dessert, Iâve got the cookies and cream sundae and I got the lemon ice box cake which was Devine!
After dinner we made a quick trip up to the room so my sister could grab something she forgot earlier in the trip. And we found a fun towel animal along with our Disney Fairytale Weddings branded cake cutting set a long with this adorable towel animal.
We headed back down to the Walt Disney Theater to go see Disneyâs Believe. While waiting in line I found another rubber ducky! I gave it to my sister to hide so Iâm not sure what she did with it. Believe was a super cute show but we still all loved the Beauty and the Beast show more. After the show we did some shopping and headed over to the District to get ready for 80s Music Trivia. Following Trivia was another session of Silent Dance party which seemed like the perfect way to end the night! After we were all done we all headed back to our rooms. Kev and I put on Cool Runnings, ordered some room service and finally went to bed.
