Sometimes things don't go as planned, right?

This photo was taken the morning we had planned to rope drop Animal Kingdom, knocking out a few rides with no wait! We overslept, buses were delayed, and we just weren't our best selves. On the way to the park I realized we weren't going to arrive early enough to beat the crowds, so we pivoted! We went the OPPOSITE direction of the crowds toward Dinoland. The boys rode Dinosaur and Kathleen and I rode Triceratops Spin 8 times in a row without leaving! While not how I prefer to spend my morning hours in Animal Kingdom, she STILL talks about how awesome it was we had the ride to ourselves. Just a friendly reminder that the best vacation doesn't always look the way we expect it to! 🦖

One of the first (and most fun!) decisions you get to make about your Walt Disney World vacation is where to stay! There are loads of wonderful options, but for week-long family trips we always choose Disney's Caribbean Beach! 🏖

This moderate resort gives you upgraded amenities from the value options, but is still very family and budget friendly. The skyliner provides quick access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, as well as tons of restaurants! 🍽

A quiet evening for us includes watching the sunset from Banana Cabana, the fireworks from the pool, and an outdoor movie. 🍿
