At first I felt bad they had to pull me along, but our guide told us that these Alaskian Huskies can (and want to) run up to 100km a day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is a misconception that travelling is expensive. It does not have to be. For example, this dog sledding experience is usually very costly, however, I did it completely for free. Why? Because the hotel I worked for let me do all their activities as a bonus. Alternatively, you could work for board at a Husky sledding company. Skanderbeg is Albania's greatest national hero. With his expert generalship Albania consistently repelled the military might of the Ottoman Empire as it tirelessly invaded Eastern Europe. It was not until after his death that the Turks finally conquered the little country, but Skanderbeg remains as the Albanian figure of hope, pride and freedom.

I went wandering through Turkey and bartered with locals for fresh produce at the endless bazaars found in every town and village

Food tip from our Turkish host: BBQ a whole eggplant until outside is black and crispy, and the inside is soft. Cut in half, scoop the inside out, and discard the outside. Add salt, olive oil and lemon juice. Serve and enjoy!
