I don't expect my people to book with me for everything, especially those smaller trips where you just need a quick hotel or flight in the states (even though I have a whole travel booking site where you can search for deals and book those yourself). I do have a few loyal clients that ask me for assistance or suggestions even for road trips 2hrs away.
But to book a trip out of the country and don't ask me first, AND then you come back and complain about how horrible your accommodations were, is diabolical. 🤷🏾♀️

You would be surprised at the number of people that STILL put laptops, jewelry, expensive handbags and other important items in their checked luggage🧳.
I make it my business to not bring things with me that would be devastating if lost or stolen, or I keep it on my person.
And if they try to make you check your duffle bag at the gate saying it won't fit overhead, most times it will! I have had to squeeze my large duffle under the seat because I was not checking that in without a lock on it and with my laptop inside!! #20secondtuesday

I've been to plenty of nice places, and didn't necessarily break the bank-and that was paying full price or without any type of agent discount. Luxury does cost and you have to be realistic about that, but that doesn't mean if you can't afford luxury, you can't have something nice.

When we stayed at this lakefront villa in the mountains, we decided we would do whatever we needed to do to not have to drive down that hill at night. It gets so dark and those twists and turns of the road were so scary, that we could have stayed up in the villa for the entire stay and we would have been all right.
It rained the first few days while we were thete but that was OK because when it cleared up and there was no fog, that view of the mountains and the water was fantastic.
I am never opposed to staying on property and relaxing when I need to. Any excuse will do and the sound of the rain 🌧 is a valid one!

I never take the ability to be able to #travel for granted. I know there are people my age that have yet to get on a plane for various issues. I just flew my 71 year old Aunt to vacation earlier this year and it was her first time on a plane.
So to wake up and be able to walk out of your resort room to the beauty which is this ocean and sunrise, I don't take lightly. It's more than luck. It's a blessing.

Of course, #selfcare is more than this, but I promise when I have a #massage scheduled it activates a whole vibe of peace 💆🏾♀️ for that entire day.
I try not to schedule anything strenuous or mentally cumbersome on the same day. A breakfast or lunch in a cute #cafe is definitely on the schedule. I probably won't be doing much work if at all, or talking on the phone.
And if I can leave the massage room and walk a few feet to the beach and finish relaxing by the ocean 🌊, that's a plus!💙
