A best place for hiking with friends. There are about 2.5 km from the entrance to hulangala top view. I hiked through this with friends. Better experience i ever had. Beautiful sorrounding with tea estate. It is little bit difficult because no drinking water there. If you came with a two wheeler you can proceed this 2.5 km with it. But with a 4 wheel Vehicle it would be difficult.There are many places for photographers.if u are nature lover don't miss this place. Wooowww

This place is well known for a natural pool but the pool but I feel this place is overrated. Just down a bridge u find it and not much deeper or u cannot swim a longer distance. You got to have drive too far from the nearest city. I recommend this place only for the scenic views you get to see on your drive. You can book your villas for a stay here and u can find many other pools too. Recently a water park business is being built in this place so I hope the place will be much interesting and attract more tourists.

It was like a different world when we visited Mandaram Nuwara. It was even more beautiful when you look from the Mandaram Nuwara View Point which is at the top of the village. You can see some beautiful paddy fields and also other vegetable fields. Sudden mist would add more to the view.

One of the best place that I ever reached. Can reach via Kandy, Ududumbara and Kalugala.this is not a single waterfall, We pased around 7 steps of waterfall during the hike. It was kinda tough hike.you better prepare for it.rope will be useful there. However the view was magnificent 💚

it was a good memory and great experiance and very scary journey .with a lot of beautiful memories .that beautiful journey passed in a beautiful way.you must enjoy and see the beauti of this great place.please protect our beautiful environment and come back safely ♥️

Meeyan Ella Waterfall | මීයන් ඇල්ල | மியன் எல்ல

Located few hundred meters away from the Ihalakotte Railway Station. A vehicle can travel to the station but road is narrow with limited parking spaces. Recommend to get a tuk to get there. Reach the place early before get it crowded.

Hanthana Mountain Sri Lanka

Hanthana mountain range is a popular hiking spot situated in Kandy, in Central parts of Sri Lanka. The access to the range is very easy from the Kandy city and situated within a half an hour drive. You could park your vehicle near the main entrance to the hiking trail without any doubt. The maximum height of the range is 3800 ft. The mountain range consists of seven peaks. At the beginning of the path which leads to the summit, you will have 3 entry routes which will take you to 3 different spots. First one will lead you to a spot which ends at a location with telecommunication towers. This entry spot can easily be identified due to the power cables laid alongside the path. We took this path and we climbed to the top within 2 hours. Carry enough water as you will not have any water resources until you reach top. We camped there 1 night and you will have the best view of central hills and almost all the towns from here. The night sky was full of stars and you will have one of the best views from top of a mountain. A good spot to camp as you can easily catch up good views of sunrise. This area is declared as an environmental protection area under the National Environment Act and be extra careful if you are planning to put up a camp fire

Kudawa Beach

This is an ideal place for beach camping with plenty of space and shallow water. Kudawa beach is very famous among both local and foreign kite surfers. If you are willing to go kite surfing, make sure to plan your trip during the relevant season of the year. Sea can be deep in some places. Therefore, be careful and contact local fishermen or villages before you step into the water. The beach is nearly 2km away from the main road ( Kandakuliya Rd ). The beach and the surrounding is clean and please be responsible to leave it as it is. Safe Travels !!!

Sri Lankan Snake Farm

Great place for seeing and touching all kind of snakes. The friendly owner has a wide knowledge and provides you with all the information about the snake races you see in a very good English. Takes about one hour to see all the snakes. Definitely worth a visit even for people who are not really into reptiles.

This is the end point in southern Sri Lanka.This is a place you must visit. South corner. Yes, it's a really eye-catching place.It wasn't until I got to this place that I realized how much of a corner it would be.

The road on the map is a bit difficult but can be heard from the locals.not parking facility.but you can park your vehicle near the road edges and then take a foot for the end.nice looking. If you want to take a great view ,you must here at after 5'o clock.You will surely like to watch the evening sunset scene again from the light house.

The Bundala National Park is one of the best parks in south Sri Lanka, good to reach from Tissamaharama. Very much animals and interesting places in the park. You can see crocodiles, elephants, many different types of birds and many other beautiful animals in the park.

Arisimale is one of the beautiful beaches near Pulmoddai - Sri Lanka. It is situated next to Pulmoddai beach. The name "Arisimale" is coming from the Tamil language. In Tamil "Arisi" means rice and "Malai" means mountain. Hence Arisimale means "mountain of rice". The reason behind this name is the sand on the beach. This beach is made of sand which is likely similar to rice seeds and it is identical to this Arisimale beach.

There is nearly 50km distance from Trincomalee. The location shows on google maps is correct. A navy checkpoint is situated at the entrance of the beach. A vehicle park is also there and you need to park your vehicles there and go through the checkpoint. You are not allowed to carry any bags into the beach. Then you'll enter a small forest and you have to walk around 500m through the forest to reach the beach. A clear footpath is available from the entrance to the end. You are only allowed to go through this footpath and it is prohibited to enter the deep forest. This forest is an ancient sacred area. "Thapassu and Balluka", the two international traders landed to Sri Lanka from this place. The sacred hair relic of the Lord Buddha was brought by them and they constructed a stupa near to this area which is named as "Girihandu Seya", the first stupa in Sri Lanka and laid it in that stupa. Buddhist monks are meditating here and try to walk quietly by not disturbing them.

Beach is clean and water is clear but it is sad to say the border which separates the beach and the forest is ruined by people by throwing garbage. There is a rocky area near the beach and you can go there to watch an amazing view of the beach and sunset but be careful, due to the sharp edges of rocks you can get hurt easily. It is strictly prohibited to conduct parties, consume liquor, smoke and to use other prohibited drugs in this area. You are not allowed to stay overnight and camping. Many people are trying to take sand away from this beach and it is strictly prohibited. You are not allowed to have a bath from here because the sea wave is slightly strong and the sea is deep near the beach.

There is a place near the checkpoint where you can have basic sanitary facilities and filtered drinking water free of charge. You can also visit "Girihandu Seya" which I mentioned above earlier. It is situated 12km far from this beach. If you are planning to stay overnight you can stay and have a camping experience on Pulmoddai beach which is next to the Arisimale beach. It is situated within walking distance from the Arisimale beach.

Great experience for your day to day busy life. Come here, enjoy the environment. Feel the natural beauty. Don't ruin it. Don't throw garbage. Don't disturb to the balance of nature.

Foul Point Lighthouse
Foul Point is the outer south-east point of Trincomalee Bay. The Foul Point Lighthouse (Sampur Lighthouse) was built in 1863 by the British with a height of 32 metres and diameter of 25 metres. The lighthouse is built in to 5 levels with steel stairs and has been guiding seafarers safely to their destinations for centuries..
