THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON
Armageddon is known as the final battle between the forces of good and evil. The final end-time battle after the thousand year reign of Yeshua HaMashiach.
In Matthew 24 and Luke 21, Yeshua HaMashiach described the key events leading to His return.
The word Armageddon derived from Har Magedon meaning (mountain of Megiddo) Armageddon is mentioned only once in New Testament as in the Book of Revelation 16.
In this end-time invasion, we once see Israelâs enemies mounting a war against Jerusalem but we also see the spiritual forces behind the rebellion against YHVH.
âThey had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon (Revelation 9:11)
The Abaddon/Apollyon of Revelation is a real being who will inflict real pain on real people.
The Scriptures mentioned the âPrince of Rosh,â which is Russiaâ
Revelation 16:14, 16
âThey are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of YHVH AlmightyâŚ. Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.â
John in his description of the demonic locusts that Satan released from the bottomless pit (Revelation 9:1â6).
Joel chapters 1 and 2 provide a similar description of locusts prophesied to invade Israel in The Day of YHVH. Joel refers to the locusts' attack with the image of an invasion by a ferocious army from the north (Joel 2:20).
Daniel 11:40â45 also predicts an invasion into Israel by a powerful northern aggressor. If these are identical, the demonic locusts will control this northern army, and direct it across the Euphrates to invade Israel (Revelation 9:14â16).
The prophet Ezekiel described an end-time which armies from the north that is under the leadership of Gog, will challenge the restoration of Israel. Israel has been in a constant battle of defense.
Revelation 9 tells us that under the fifth trumpet judgment John sees a star fall from heaven to earth.
This ''star'' is Satan, and he is given the key to the bottomless pit. Using this key, Satan unleashes a plague of supernatural demons resembling locusts.
They torment unbelievers for five months with such pain that people seek death unsuccessfully. They appear like horses prepared for battle, and they have a king, whose name is Apollyon, meaning ''Destroyer.''
Revelation 20:7â8
When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison, and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog , to gather them for battle.â
According to Ezekiel 38:2 Gog is a chief prince living in the land of Magog.
YHVH is faithful and will not abandon His People. There will come a time where YHVH's anger will be against those who are against Israel. Nothing will come to YHVH as surprise.
The nations will unite and come upon Israel âlike a cloud that covers the landâ Ezekiel 38
The forces that come against Israel will be to such extend in the day of defeat, that Gogâs weaponry will provide fuel for Israel for seven years (Ezekiel 39:9).
Under the sixth trumpet judgment John sees four angels released from the Euphrates river. Their release coincides with a horde of two hundred million demonic mounted troops that kill a third of mankind.
However, the survivors refuse to abandon their idolatry and to repent of their evil deeds.
In Revelation 8â9, John describes a period during the end times when angels sound seven trumpets. Each trumpet signals the coming of a new judgment on the people of earth.
YHVH will hurl His fury against Gog with pestilence and with blood, floods, giant hailstones, fire and brimstone. YHVH anger will come upon those who come against the Land of Israel (Ezekiel 38:22). YHVH will save and rescues Israel with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm.
The âarm of YHVH â also represents His salvation "to bring them near", which in Hebrew is Yeshua.
Jeremiah 32:21
âYou brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror.â
YHVH âs Divine Sheltering Presence over Israel has not ended but will continue to the everlasting Kingdom that will not be shaken
Ezekiel 39:10
âThey will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign YHVH.â
Ezekiel 39:12 described that many soldiers will die in this battle that it will take seven months for Israel to bury them all and cleanse their land
Zechariah 14:16â17
âThen the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, YHVH Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkoth). If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, YHVH Almighty, they will have no rain.â
The word tabernacle is in Hebrew referred to as sukkah. YHVH promised that He will hide His people in His sukkah (Shelter or covering) making them inaccessible from the enemy on the rock of His presence.
Sukkot reveals a time of YHVH's mighty protection of Israel and those who trust in Him.
Psalm 27:5
âFor in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle (sukkah); In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.â
Romans 10:14
How can they call on Him unless they believe in Him? How can they believe in Him unless they hear about Him? How can they hear about Him unless someone preaches to them?â
Romans 11:15
âFor if their casting Yeshua aside means reconciliation for the world, what will their accepting Him mean? It will be life from the dead!â
The seven seals represent events to take place on this earth during each sealâs appointed time.
Revelation 5:1
I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a Book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.
As this prophecy opens, we see Yeshua as the Lamb of YHVH take the book of YHVHâs providence and begin to open its seven seals, one by one.
Revelation 5:9
And they sang a new song, saying: âYou are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to YHVH by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nationââ
The supreme center of YHVH's power was the offering of Yeshua as the Lamb sacrificed for us.
Yeshua sent by YHVH to save the lost and to glorify His Father. As by faith we see even the angels above bow before him in loving adoration, declaring Yeshua worthy to open the seven-sealed book.
Isaiah 29:11
The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, âPlease read this,â he will say, âI cannot, for it is sealed.â
Isaiah 8:16
Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
Daniel 9:24
âSeventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.
Revelation 6:2
As the Savior breaks the first seal of the great book, a wondrous scene flashes before the gaze of the holy apostle John, He says, âAnd I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquerâ
'
Daniel 8:26
âThe vision of the evenings and mornings
Which has been told is true; But keep the vision secret, For it pertains to many days in the future.â
Daniel 12:4
But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until "the time of the end". Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.â
Revelation 22:10
Then he told me, âDo not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near.
Matthew 7:21
âNot everyone who says to me, âMaster, Master,â will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see The Day drawing near..
Let us not give up or lose faith or hope because the day of Redemption is drawing near. Let us prepare ourselves and remain faithful in our commitment to our Heavenly Father.
Matthew 25:31-46
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
âThen the King will say to those on his right, âCome, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.â
âThen the righteous will answer him, âMaster, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?â
âThe King will reply, âTruly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.â
âThen he will say to those on his left, âDepart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.â
âThey also will answer, âMaster, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?â
âHe will reply, âTruly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.â
âThen they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.â
