Today, on Forgiveness Sunday by the Orthodox calendar, I am inspired by a tradition that traces back to the Egyptian monks. Before embarking on their 40-day solitary journey into the desert to prepare for Easter, they would ask each other for forgiveness for any wrongs committed, as some might not return. This act was as meaningful as seeking reconciliation before death, emphasizing the profound importance of forgiveness.

Inspired by this tradition, I reach out to you all today. If I have wronged anyone, knowingly or unknowingly, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. Let us clear our hearts of any grievances and move forward with love and unity.
