Beautiful Congo 🇨🇩 ♥️

The Congo Basin makes up one of the most important wilderness areas left on Earth. At 500 million acres, it is larger than the state of Alaska and stands as the world's second-largest tropical forest. A mosaic of rivers, forests, savannas, swamps and flooded forests, the Congo Basin is teeming with life.

The geographical area now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo was populated as early as 90,000 years ago.

Beautiful Cook Islands 🇨🇰 !
The Cook Islands is a nation in the South Pacific, with political links to New Zealand. Its 15 islands are scattered over a vast area. The largest island, Rarotonga, is home to rugged mountains and Avarua, the national capital. To the north, Aitutaki Island has a vast lagoon encircled by coral reefs and small, sandy islets. The country is renowned for its many snorkeling and scuba-diving sites.
The Cook Islands were first settled around AD 1000 by Polynesian people who are thought to have migrated from Tahiti. The Cook Islands were occupied by British from 1888 🥺
In March 2019, it was reported that the Cook Islands had plans to change its name and remove the reference to Captain James Cook in favour of "a title that reflects its 'Polynesian nature'

Tuvalu 🇹🇻
The least visited country in the world!
If all you want is to disappear, relax under a palm tree and not be bothered by anyone with fewer than 1000 tourists a year, Tuvalu is the place to be.

Tuvalu is one of the world’s smallest (total land area of just 26 km2 and a population of just 8,000) and most isolated island nations. This unspoilt corner of the Pacific offers a peaceful and non-commercialised environment that is ideal for rest and relaxation

With a maximum of 13 feet above sea level, the islands provide the classic image of blue sea and sky, white breakers along the fringing reefs, sand and swaying palms. Within the lagoons, the contrast between the colors of deep and shallow water and the beach is especially dramatic, creating a unique South Seas ambience. The spectacular marine environment consisting of a vast expanse of ocean interspersed with atolls, magnificent lagoons, coral reefs and small islands.

Kailasa Temple in Ellora, Maharashtra, India 🇮🇳
is the world’s largest monolithic piece of art. Master craftspeople carved the gigantic structure from a single piece of solid rock in a cave on a mountainside. The entire building took more than two decades to carve. There are plenty of other mind-boggling facts about this ancient wonder while some of the history behind the temple has a bit of controversy attached to it
Hindus created the temple to honor Lord Shiva, and they intended to mimic his home on Mount Kailash in the Himalayan Mountains. Legend has it a Hindu king ordered the temple built after he prayed to Shiva to save his wife from sickness.

Architects started from the top of the mountain and worked downward to carve the structure. The painstaking process removed more than 200,000 tons of volcanic rock between 757 and 783 A.D., according to archaeologists. Kailasa Temple is one of 34 caves in the area carved from solid rock. Other similar caves date back as as early as 300 B.C.
In modern terms, it would take around 200 days, working at 24 hours per day, to excavate the entire site using contemporary technology. That doesn’t take into account the elaborate carvings all over the monolithic structure.

Niagara Falls, Canada 🇨🇦

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, spanning the border between the US state of New York and the Canadian province of Ontario. The largest of the three is Horseshoe Falls, also known as Canadian Falls, which straddles the international border between Canada and the United States. The smaller American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls lie entirely within the United States. Bridal Veil Falls are separated from Horseshoe Falls by Goat Island and from American Falls by Luna Island, with both islands situated in New York as well.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls have the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 50 metres (160 ft). During peak daytime tourist hours, more than 168,000 m3 (six million cubic feet) of water goes over the crest of the falls every minute. Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by flow rate.

Palawan, Philippines 🇵🇭
Nothing defines Palawan more than the water around it. With seascapes the equal of any in Southeast Asia, and terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, the Philippines’ most sparsely populated region is also the most beguiling. Because of the silhouette of its main island – a long sliver stretching 650km all the way to Borneo – there’s a certain liberating logic to travel here.
Despite becoming something of a travel-media darling in recent years, Thailand–style tourists hordes have yet to arrive and the main island's Amazonian interior remains relatively pristine. That said, the northern towns of El Nido and Coron – base camps for adventures in the Bacuit Archipelago and Calamian Islands, respectively – are starting to attract big crowds in the high season.
Not to fear: plucky travellers who venture outside those two hubs have countless places to choose from in their quest for that perfect paradise.

As of 2016, the main island of Palawan was rated the "Most Beautiful Island in the World" as voted by respective readers of rival travel publications Conde Nast Traveller and Travel + Leisure.[6][7] It is the second year running that Palawan has won the Conde Nast Traveller award, as well as the second time in four years that it has occupied Travel + Leisure's top spot (2013).[8][9] El Nido, located at the northern tip of the island, is also currently rated the "Most Beautiful Beach in the World" by Conde Nast Traveller readers.

Bay of Kotor, Montenegro 🇲🇪
Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska) is often called Europe’s most southernmost fjord. And it certainly looks like one, with towering peaks and a rocky coastline dotted with pretty waterside towns. But both the water and the climate are more Mediterranean than Scandinavian. The bay’s not actually a fjord either, but rather a ria – a submerged river valley made up of four connected bays making up a butterfly shape which stretches inland from the coast. But the scenery is as stunning as any ‘proper’ fjord, and when you add in bags of history and culture then you can see why Kotor has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site. So if you’re visiting Montenegro, here are some of the best things to do in the beautiful Bay of Kotor.

Mindanao island, Philippines 🇵🇭
It’s the second largest (after Luzon) in the Philippines, in the southern part of the archipelago, surrounded by the Bohol, Philippine, Celebes, and Sulu seas. Irregularly shaped, it measures 293 miles (471 km) north to south and 324 miles (521 km) east to west.

Despite jaw-dropping beaches, killer surf, rugged mountains and indigenous cultures living much as they have for centuries, Mindanao, with the exception of Siargao and to an extent Camiguin, remains off the tourism industry’s radar. Of course, the conflict that has simmered for several generations (and the 2017 declaration of martial law in the region) bears much of the responsibility for this. That’s not to say, however, that there isn’t development and the woes that go with it – the southern city of Davao is, for example, fairly cosmopolitan.
The island is marked by peninsulas and is heavily indented by the Davao and Moro gulfs in the south and by Iligan Bay in the north. The long, semicircular Zamboanga Peninsula (west) extends southwesterly toward the Sulu Archipelago and Borneo, and the Cotabato and Surigao peninsulas extend south and north, respectively.

Tortum Waterfall, Erzurm, Turkey 🇹🇷

Tortum Waterfall is a waterfall located at the end of Lake Tortum which is formed on the Tortum Stream in Erzurum.
Historical Formation
Tortum Waterfall is a waterfall formed by closing the front of the Tortum Stream due to landslide that formed in a mountain in the west of today’s Balıklı Village, in the middle of the 1700s. The Tortum Waterfall is formed by spilling from over the landslide mass that is between the Tev Valley of the Tortum Lake and the northern tip of the lake. The Tortum Waterfall passes over layers of resistant limestone near the stream. It flows over from a width of 22 meters and a height of 48 meters. Falling waters bring into being rainbow at the top side and huge pothole at the under side. This waterfall is also a natural monument. It is located in the Uzundere town of Erzurum.

Erzurum is the largest province in Eastern Anatolia and is located on a high plateau (1950 meters). The province has always been a transportation junction and is now the transfer point for air, rail or bus connections for travelers coming to Eastern Turkey.

The history of the city extends back to 4000 BC and it has seen many civilizations in Anatolia. One of the most important remains from this periods is the well preserved Byzantine city walls. Most of the historical finds are kept in the collections of the Archaeological Museum, which is a part of the Erzurum Museum.

Tatra Mountains, Poland 🇵🇱
The most Alpine of all Polish National Parks. It is among the world’s 30 recommended national parks according to CNN.
By European standards, it is a relatively small national park, covering an area of 211,000 square kilometers. Yet, its Alpine character and rich landscape each year attract a record number of tourists – between 2.5 and 3 million. The Park is a natural habitat of endemic animal species, such as the Tatra chamois, marmot, bear, lynx, wildcat and wolf.

The Tatra National Park is located in southern Poland, in the Małopolska Province, and borders on the Slovakian Tatra National Park. Both of these unique areas were listed as UNESCO biosphere reserves in 1993.

One of the main tourist attractions in the Tatra Mountains is the cable railway on Kasprowy Wierch that was constructed in 1936. It is the oldest such construction in Poland and the 60th in the world. Its top station is situated next to the highest meteorological observatory in Poland (1987 meters mamsl). Rysy, measuring 2499 meters mamsl, is the highest peak on the Polish side of the Tatra Mountains and Poland’s highest mountain.

Located at the foothills of the Tatra Mountains, Zakopane offers a wide range of accommodation facilities and an impressive skiing infrastructure.

Belgrad, Serbia 🇷🇸
Outspoken, adventurous, proud and audacious: Belgrade ('White City') is by no means a 'pretty' capital, but its gritty exuberance makes it one of Europe's most happening cities. While it hurtles towards a brighter future, its chaotic past unfolds before your eyes: socialist blocks are squeezed between art nouveau masterpieces, and remnants of the Habsburg legacy contrast with Ottoman relics and socialist modernist monoliths. This is where the Sava and Danube Rivers kiss, an old-world culture that at once evokes time-capsuled communist-era Yugoslavia and new-world, EU-contending cradle of cool.
Grandiose coffee houses and smoky dives pepper Knez Mihailova, a lively pedestrian boulevard flanked by historical buildings all the way to the ancient Belgrade Fortress. The riverside Savamala quarter has gone from ruin to resurrection, and is the city's creative headquarters (for now). Deeper in Belgrade's bowels are museums guarding the cultural, religious and military heritage of the country.

Stara planina, Serbia 🇷🇸

Vast areas of green, fresh air and a number of warm springs of mineral water are the features of Stara planina (Old mountain ie. the Balkan mountains), a mountain range stretching across two countries

Stara planina (the Balkan mountains), after which the Balkan Peninsula was named, extends 550 kilometers across its central part and connects Serbia and Bulgaria. It extends from the city of Zaječar in Serbia all the way to the Black Sea.

During Roman rule the mountain was known as Haemus Mons and historians consider that Haemus is derived from the Thracian word “saimon”, meaning ‘mountain range’. The Slavs called it Matorni gori, and Turks called it Kodzhabalkan and Balkan. The name “Balkan” comes from the Persian language and it means “mountaneous land”.

Picturesque beauty 330 kilometers from Belgrade makes Mt. Stara planina the most beautiful part of Eastern Serbia and it was declared a natural treasure of great importance. This mountain is known for its mild climate, clean air, springs of hot mineral water, while the park “Stara planina” spreads on 142.000 acres.
