The local government of Aklan province announced on Wednesday that RT-PCR tests will be required again for travelers starting January 9, 2022.

Under Executive Order No. 001 Series of 2022, all travelers bound for Boracay and other areas in Aklan province, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to present a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours before flight departure. Travelers must also land only in Caticlan Airport, which means travel to Boracay via Kalibo Airport will no longer be allowed.

Please be informed that airlines will now be asking for 2 valid ID's upon check-in, this maybe due to the increasing number of passengers using fraudulent tickets and falsified ID. Please also be reminded that using issued tickets under other guest's name may be charged with civil and criminal action under existing law and may face imprisonment for up to 20 years. Here are the lists of the valid ID's that you may bring on your flight.

✅Non-Filipino citizens are also exempted for paying the travel tax.

For the terminal fee, everyone should pay for it just like the ₱1620 travel tax when going abroad.

Many are exempted also to pay the terminal fee:

1. OFWs
2. Children 2 yrs & below
3. Muslims going to the hajj
4. PSC national athletes

That is why you will see there are TERMINAL FEE REFUND counters at NAIA Terminals 1, 2 & 3.

MCIA RESUMES INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS WITH RESTRICTIONS

The airport resumes International Departures effective today, 21 December 2021, 06:01 a.m. PHT.

ENTRY TO CEBU
International Arrivals will be allowed entry, subject to a daily passenger cap limit, starting Thursday, 23 December 2021, 12:01 a.m. PHT.

In compliance with Cebu Provincial Executive Order No. 49, s. 2021, only Cebuano OFWs and ROFs shall be allowed to enter Cebu, provided they present the following upon check-in at their airport of origin:

• Cebuano OFWs shall present a valid ID and a duly accomplished declaration form reflecting their residential address in Cebu; and,
• Cebuano ROFs shall present proof of their pre-booking at an accredited hotel in Cebu, for utmost, two (2) days

Passengers are advised to get in touch with their airlines for the flight schedules and re-timing.

1. More than 34 weeks (8.5 months) pregnant NOT ALLOWED.

2. Less than 34 weeks (8.5 months) pregnant must bring a MEDICAL CERTIFICATE stating the age of gestation with notation “FIT TO TRAVEL” signed by the personal physician.

3. Travel must commerce within 7 days of the certificate’s issuance.

4. Pregnant passenger must fill-out a special handling form (at the airport or download online)
