Ok, so we’re having a RUBBISH summer. But it does make the scenery so much more atmospheric 😉

Bookings are coming in thick and fast , we have one week available in June, 2 weeks in July and one week in August, with limited weeks available in September.
The Staffordshire Moorlands are beautiful to visit in the summer, with Well Dressings, local fetes , long summer nights and beautiful sunsets.

Cold, but worth it for the views today, no car, just straight from the front door.

The snow topped Weaver Hills from JCB lake.
The mile long path around the lake is paved, so it’s great for dog walking when everywhere else is wet and muddy. Happy dogs too …. No bath required 😁

Dusk at Alton Towers is just magical. The whole place takes on a different atmosphere- especially with the beautiful sunsets we've had of late.
Nutwood Cottage is a 15 min drive from Alton Towers and a great base to explore the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands, Staffordshire Peak District and attractions such as Trentham Gardens.

All this beautiful landscape is a 20 min drive from Nutwood Cottage. It’s rugged, unspoilt, beautiful and the views are breathtaking.
We have a few dates left for September and October.. Autumn is the best season for walking the moorlands so why not book your break?

10 min drive to the beautiful Churnet Valley.
Why not hop onto a steam train, enjoy a cream tea, enjoy the gorgeous scenery and then take a walk back along the adjacent canal, feeling transported back through time.
The wonderful Hettys teashop is at the end of the journey.......it would be rude not to 😉

Summer has arrived today...at last!
We are lucky to have the River Tean directly opposite us which is great for dogs and kids to cool off on a scorching day.
For adults and the less adventurous, we have The White Hart Pub.....also opposite.
