One of the Tourist places in Haridwar is Har ki Pauri which basically means footsteps of the Lord. It is the holy ghat where river Ganges touches the plains after winding its ways through the Himalayan ranges. Visitors flock along this pious ghat around dawn to take a holy dip. during the Ganga Aarati.

#कुल्लू के बिजली महादेव में गिरी बिजली # आज शाम 7 बजे के करीब गिरी बिजली # महादेव के इस मंदिर पर हर 12 साल में गिरती है आकाशीय बिजली गिरतीं हैं

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार ये विशालकाय घाटी सांप के रुप में है, सांप का वध महादेव द्वारा किया गया था। माना जाता है कि हर 12 साल में भगवान इंद्र भोलेनाथ की आज्ञा लेकर बिजली गिराते हैं। बिजली के गिरने से मंदिर का शिवलिंग खंडित हो जाता है। इसके बाद मंदिर के पूजारी खंडित शिवलिंग पर मरहम के तौर पर मक्खन लगाते हैं ताकि महादेव को दर्द से राहत मिल सके।
