I have recently seen some guests at our site raising concerns about cleanliness of vans. I would like to assure all of my guests that we take the cleanliness of our caravan very seriously. To protect you we also use mattress protectors, duvet protectors and pillow protectors on all of our beds. The remote controls have a silicone cover to make them easy to keep clean and everything is cleaned thoroughly after each guest and all surfaces are sprayed with anti-bac spray.

A short distance from prestatyn is Colwyn Bay beach. Fantastic sandy beach thats dog friendly between the pier and rhos on sea all year round

Dogs love the beach. Especially our two. Which is why we allow dogs at our caravan. Dogs are welcome at Haven park and they are also welcome at most pubs, restaurants and attractions across North Wales

Everyone knows Talacre beach in Flintshire because of the iconic Point of Ayr lighthouse. It is a grade II listed lighthouse dating back to 1776, which was decommissioned in 1884 and is now a residential property, rising 18 metres out of the sand. The area around the beach and dunes is a Site of special Scientific Interest with rare species including a collection of natterjack roads.
Point of Ayr Lighthouse is said to be haunted, so be sure to keep an eye out for the old lighthouse keeper who is said to still look out over the beach today!

Here are a few of the local places we highly recommend for a visit while staying at our caravan:

Gwrych Castle - Fantastic castle, so much more than the I'm a celebrity castle. Read the story about Dr Bakers passion for restoration

Manorafon Farm Park - Fantastic day out for the kids and often have themed weeks

NorthWales GardenWorld - Brilliant garden centre with fantastic tea room and a fab selection of ice creams

The Plough St Asaph Bar, Restaurant & Venue - Brilliant food and awesome Sunday Roasts. Booking advisable

The Beaches Hotel Prestatyn - Fantastic cocktails (need i say more)

Market Hall Ruthin - This is a new but growing artisan market on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Marmalade, Rhos on Sea - Another fantastic cafe in the beautiful seaside town of Rhos on Sea. Why not park up and stroll along the prom in Colwyn then head here for lunch. Booking advisable

Castell Dinbych / Denbigh Castle - one of many local castle ruins but some fantastic sights

North Wales Bluetits, Open Water Chill Swimmers - if you fancy joining the group for an open water dip. They meet at Prestatyn behind Nova or in Colwyn Bay near the Colwyn Letters. Times vary due to tides but are published on the page.

Greenwood Forest Park - a little bit of a drive this one but it is a fantastic eco friendly theme park and fantastic for kids

Local towns i recommend a visit (one where its not all large chain stores)

Prestatyn High Street esp Prestatyn Butchers and the cheese shop

Denbigh Town - This is steep but loads of great shops

Ruthin - a beautiful market town with many artisan shops

Rhos on Sea - as mentioned lots of fantastic unique shops

And if you fancy a little further to drive

Conwy or Beaumaris on Anglesey
