FYI notice from the FAA on Drones:
The FAA's policy for exercising discretion in determining whether to take enforcement action for drone operators who were not able to comply with the Remote ID Rule ends on March 16, 2024. Operators who do not comply after that date could face fines and suspension or revocation of their drone pilot certificates.

Public safety officials can visit the FAA’s compliance program website to learn more about enforcement. Additionally, the FAA’s Public Safety and Government webpage provides information on authoritative guidance.

Remote ID applies to drones which are required to be registered or have been registered with the FAA, including those flown for recreation, business, or public safety, and drones that are foreign-registered.

This March, the Sandy Senior and Community Center will be celebrating and having fundraising events that aim to raise awareness and support for our Meals on Wheels program in Sandy. Last year, we helped over 70 local homebound seniors and we served over 17,000 meals! Through our program, vulnerable seniors are given more than just a meal; relationships and connections are made enriching their lives.

Throughout March we are holding fundraisers through various restaurant partnerships. When you eat out a percentage of the sales at specific restaurants at specific times will go towards the Sandy Meals on Wheels Program. Please check the poster for the locations and times.

Thank you to Taqueria El Jaliscience, Smoky Hearth, Scoop 'n Swirl, Panda Express, Mountain Moka, and Dairy Queen for your participations!

For the first time in 15 years, we have a new trail map! As you can tell, there are a number of updates to the map, including a greater level of detail, an improved perspective that more accurately reflects the layout of the resort, and the inclusion of Heather and Clark Canyons without the use of an inset map.
