Our mission is the fusion of these two vital elements. Hospitality (or “filoxenia” to use the Greek word) is in the Greek DNA. In Ancient Greece, showing hospitality to guests and foreigners was not only a kindness but a cultural law. With Hospitality Stories, you’ll feel like an honoured guest - not a tourist - from the first moment. Key to our philosophy are our “destination angels” whom you’ll encounter in every location and on every experience. Whether you’re with us for a few hours or a few days, your “destination angel” will be your local story teller on the ground; sharing with you both the unmissable sights and off-grid delights - as well as those “inside access” secrets that make a holiday come alive. No matter whether you’re an art and culture fan, a foodie, an active adventurer, summer addict or nature lover, Hospitality Stories will immerse you in an authentic world of rich experience.
The Founder
Athenian Dimitra Vlachou is a lover of travel, celebrations and photography - but her biggest passion is collecting life experiences. Since childhood, Dimitra has loved organising special times for her friends and herself: trips, events, night outs, parties, anniversaries, excursions. Paying attention to every last detail has always been her calling card and the secret of her success. “When I started, there was no Google, no blogs, just human research, inspiration and instinct,” says Dimitra.You’ll often find her travelling the world, seeking out those hidden pearls and genuine experiences that make a destination sing (like that romantic “local’s” cafe tucked down a side-street; or that secret cove with the knockout sunset). Dimitra has worked for more than 21 years in the marketing and leisure industries, successfully organising thousands of premium travel experiences for a global audience of different ages, nationalities and interests. Hospitality Stories is her latest exciting journey.
