Travelling to the Taj Mahal is an unforgettable experience! The intricate details of the architecture and the rich history behind it make it a must-see destination for any travel enthusiast.

1️⃣ Legend has it that the emperor who built the Taj Mahal cut off the hands of the artisans who crafted it so they could never replicate the beauty of the monument. Not the best employee retention strategy, if you ask me!

2️⃣ The Taj Mahal was once threatened by a swarm of insects that were attracted to the white marble. To protect it, the Indian government hired monkeys to chase the insects away.

3️⃣ In the 1970s, a group of tourists tried to take a piece of the Taj Mahal's marble home with them. Needless to say, they were caught and fined heavily. Moral of the story: leave the souvenirs where they belong!

As a 39-year-old traveler, I recently had the pleasure of exploring Lofoten, a group of islands in Norway known for their stunning natural beauty and unique culture. From towering mountains to crystal clear fjords, Lofoten has it all, and I can't recommend it enough for any fellow travelers looking for a unique and unforgettable experience.

During my time in Lofoten, I was struck by the sheer beauty of the landscape. The rugged coastline, the colorful fishing villages, and the dramatic mountain ranges all combined to create a truly stunning setting. One of the highlights of my trip was hiking to the summit of Reinebringen, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the Norwegian Sea.
