Delayed Review Brazil January 2020 with good friends

We flew on Norwegian Air, different to most long haul I have been on. This airline is classed as a budget long haul airline.

What’s different?
The drinks are not free, included is a main meal with 1 wine, beer or soft drink. 1 light meal, 25kg of luggage and select your seat.

What’s Great about Norwegian?
It may be a budget airline but, the service on board was top notch nothing was too much trouble for the crew. The drinks you wanted & snacks could be ordered on your tv screen & we never waited more then 5 minutes for a drink.

The price of the flight was £525 per person, which was by far the cheapest direct flight to Rio I found.

Where did we go?
Rio for 3 nights
Foz du igrazu for 4 nights
São Paulo for 2 nights
Paraty for 4 nights
Rio for 2 nights

Rio,
People asked me did I feel safe?

Yes

We stayed in Copacabana Beach district. In an Ibis it felt safe I did not feel at risk, we done a tour and saw all the main sights in a day sugar loaf mountain being in my opinion the most impressive.

Internal flight down to Foz do igrazu

Foz do igrazu was simply stunning, breath taking and inspirational, my advice to anyone is out of all of the natural wonders I have seen this is by far my favourite.

We went over it in a helicopter, on a high speed boat up the river and took a jeep through the jungle. We visited both the Argentina side and the Brazil side over a few days

Internal flight to São Paulo

São Paulo
Wow what a mega city they use helicopters like taxis here as it’s so vast , it was so Interesting seeing how multicultural this city is. We again done a private tour to places such as ‘Batman alley’. This like any city is not safe in terms of mugging etc, you need to dress down and have your witts about you. As this happens a lot in this city.

5 hour Private transfer too paraty

Paraty
The Portuguese originally occupied this area, was said to be the main gold export of Brazil, Rumour has it some of the gold from here currently sits in the royal families collection.

This place is so chilled and relaxing Great restaurants, bars playing live music and where we stayed in an historic house in the centre everything was within walking distant

We did also Charter a yacht here, wow what can I say you need to do this!!! The islands here were stunning like something off of pirates of the Caribbean, we had freshly made caprinas and beers and soft drinks as well as a wonderful bbq. Where they catered for vegetarians with ease.

We then returned to Rio and chilled and ate at the Rio Palace hotel which was an amazing way to end our holiday with Good Friends.

Cost
Everything including long haul flight, 2 internal flights, transfers, all tours including helicopter and boat, private yacht and all accommodation ranging from 3 star to 5 star.

£2370 per person.

Which for what we did was amazing value

Centre Parcs Midweek Break Review

Pros
-well appointed accommodation, 3 bed, 3 bath, sauna and daily maid service.
-no cars so peaceful and relaxing
-great food in the Indian restaurant, a little bit more of an adult environment
-great pool, numerous waterslides and awesome rapids
-festive theming which was great a nice way to get you into that Christmas frame of mind. Lots going on including singing reindeer

Cons
-Hucks restaurant was not good on service or food.
-needed more kitchen pots & pans to be able to comfortably self cater
-naturally English weather is unpredictable so make sure you pack waterproofs
-pottery was a good experience but when you consider you are only painting the item. This experience is vastly overpriced.
-lockerooms were clearly under pressure and could have done with being cleaner.

Summary
A good break, which if you had children would be amazing due to the free swimming and numerous parks and Christmas theme.

If you fill the lodge it’s good value as ours cost £750. Split into 6 works out reasonable per head for 4 nights away

Would I return? Yes but I would stretch to a waterside or book an apartment as the lodge we were in was slightly over tired in my opinion

Laceby Manor Lodges Review

An ideal place for relaxing and for the avid golfer 🏌️‍♀️.

From around £670 for the week or £390 for midweek/weekend.

FREE UNLIMITED GOLF, play as much as you want once a day or break for lunch then play again. The golf course is in great condition with some challenging holes. Also on-site is a cracking golf simulator so you can practice your game indoors. With the average round costing £25 there are some really good savings to be had here on a well looked after interesting course

The accommodation is 5 star immaculately clean with everything you could wish for.

Site and accommodation features
-2 super king bedrooms with en-suite leading out to a private hot tub area
-Front decking overlooking the 18th Hole, with outdoor sofa and table
-fully equipped kitchen including, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave & oven
-welcome pack upon arrival. Tea, coffee milk sugar biscuits, washing tablets and dishwasher tablets.
-on-site bar and restaurant.
-supermarket 5 minute drive away

In summary a nice break which is great value if anyone in your party enjoys golf, myself my husband and my parents enjoyed it and it’s golf facilities ❤️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

Morocco 🇲🇦

7 nights All Inclusive

Pros of Morocco-
*short flight ✈️ 3 hours
*no mosquito 🦟 not one bite/sight of one
*comfortable morning temperatures and lovely evenings
*lots of culture and points of difference
*great golf and activities to escape the hotels for a day

Points to consider
*to see the true Morocco you need to be ready to be shocked completely different to the UK so go with an open mind.
*departing Marrakech leave yourself time the airport is a little chaotic and slow if you bare this in mind it’s nice once you get in the departure area
* you will be hassled a bit in the markets ( which is normal) but if you can’t cope with this stay away from The madina.

I was actually shocked by Morocco, I loved how it had culture and time to relax, I highly recommend it and will be going back. Next time will be Agadir as want to see what the coast of this country has to offer. For a short haul destination it feels like you have flown to A far flung destination.

£700 Per person, 4 star for a week

Midweek ‘dog friendly’ get away
...... Had enough of work the pressure the strains that this world 🌎 can put on you??

Myself my husband and 2 friends needed a break! A break to relax and a break to switch off!

We 💯% found this at ‘tinkers retreat’ a 3 bedroom house in the middle of nowhere sat on a fully enclosed 1/4 of an acre.

The hot tub was sublime, a way to fully switch off from the electrical driven world we are all obsessed with. The cottage really did have it all, hot tub, wood burning stove, anything you could need or want to cook with, lots of space and most importantly away from ‘it all’.

I loved the full switch off and it’s been to long while/years before I’ve had a lay in.... just shows really you can fly thousands of miles or drive just 40 it’s the break that matters and the company you keep

❤️❤️❤️
