There are many romantic opportunities, including upscale dining venues, cozy lounges, and "quieter," picturesque corners that couples can escape to throughout the World. The perfect way to set the Romantic tone is to choose the perfect romantic resort. In my opinion, the following are the top choices for a couple getaway.

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Tiki-lit paths, lush foliage, and white sand beaches that are prime viewing spots for the Magic Kingdom fireworks, give this resort the signature tropical ambiance that is perfect for couples.

Port Orleans Riverside/ French Quarter Resort - Tree-lined winding walk ways, horse drawn carriage rides, and relaxing ferry rides to Disney Springs, make these resorts wonderfully romantic choices and at a moderate price point!

What is the Best Age to Take your Child to Disney For the First time?

My son went for the first time at 2 1/2 years old. My daughter was 6 months old. My son definitely was old enough to enjoy interacting with the characters and riding the attractions. On the other hand, my daughter enjoyed the pool. My husband and I treasure the memories of them at Disney World at every age.
So if you are 100% planning a trip for just your child's enjoyment and do not plan on ever going again, I would say between ages 4-12 is the best age group.

However, if you wanted my honest opinion of what age is the perfect age for your child's first trip, I would say in-utero. Just please adhere all pregnancy precautions ☺️😀

So… I would love to know your favorite vacation memory.
Often we recall past vacations as a short clip, series of snapshots, or if we are especially lucky, as a wonderful feeling of peace or happiness.
For me, the first vacation that comes to mind was the first time my husband (then boyfriend ) Brian and I went to New Hampshire together. Growing up in New England, both of us had been fortunate enough to have visited the White Mountains in New Hampshire multiple times. One day I purchased this little book about the most Romantic inns and bed and breakfasts in New England. This was 1999 - some people still bought travel books. After reading and rereading, I booked us a long weekend at Nestlenook Farm in the village of Jackson, New Hampshire. Magic …pure magic.

The victorian inn was Circa 1790 with rooms outfitted with fireplaces and period antiques. The property was cradled by the mountains on 65 beautiful acres with a heated outdoor pool and gazebos. We went in December and the grounds were covered in snow and truly mirrored a Currier & Ives scene with ice skating, snowshoe trails , bonfires, hot chocolate, reindeer, and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Located next to the lively North Conway, we were able to experience the romance of our inn and also the many awesome shopping and dining options down the road.

It the closest I had ever been to stepping into a storybook- and I had been to Disney World. That weekend was one of my happiest ever and I have taken that experience and tried to pay it forward as everyone deserves their “Once upon a time”.
