Clients ask all of the time, “is Genie+ worth purchasing?”
My answer is usually, “it depends on the time of year you’re going and crowd level.”
There are many times when Genie+ is not necessary. In my personal opinion, it’s almost always “worth it,” but not always necessary.
However, the week after Christmas my answer will almost always be, “yes. It’s worth it. Just buy it.”
Check out these wait times… 🫣 BUT, that should not deter you from going this time of year. The attractions are only a piece of the fun. There are so many fun shops, restaurants, and live entertainment that you should incorporate during your day.
**Also, I have tips and tricks that will help you still do many of your top attractions EVEN with the wait times this long.**
Genie+ is Disney’s “skip the line” service. Is it annoying to have to pay extra when you’ve already purchased a ticket? Yes… I get it, but have you seen the cost for Universal’s “skip the line service?” Yikes 🤑🤑
Even with the long wait times, this is still a super fun time of year to be at Disney.

When you’re entering into World Showcase from Spaceship Earth, do go to the left toward Mexico or right toward Canada?

As I was making dining reservations this morning for a client, I saw ALL of these openings for Ohana, which is one of my favorite restaurants. It’s a popular restaurant and sometimes the reservations are hard to snag.
It’s not on their agenda for this trip, but I wanted to grab it as soon as I saw all of these slots 😆
Did you know I make your dining reservations for you as well? You do not have to purchase a dining plan in order to eat at table service restaurants. I can make your dining reservations regardless if you purchased the dining plan or not.

Disney buses provide transportation from your resort to all 4 parks and Disney Springs.
You will find signs outside of each park telling you what gate your resort bus will be loading. They come and go all day long, so your wait time should be minimal.
If your ticket includes Park Hopper, you can also catch a bus to other parks.
Disney tries to make it as seamless as possible.
No need to bring your car if you don’t want to. 🙌🏻

My family and I attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party over the weekend. We stayed at Disney’s All Star Movie Resort. Out of the last 20 years I’ve been coming to Disney, this was my first time staying here.
I was pleasantly surprised, and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you’re traveling with kids. My boys loved the theming. The larger than life statues and characters were adorable. Our room smelled so good when we walked in. The rooms did not have carpet 🙌🏻 That’s a win in my book😆 Our beds were very comfortable. I will say that compared to some of the moderate category resorts I’ve stayed in, the room felt just a tad smaller. However, Disney does a fantastic job utilizing and making the most of small spaces. I never felt like I had a lack of storage for all of our stuff. One of the queen sized beds is actually a murphy bed and folded up nicely to create some floor space.
We had a mini fridge for our drinks, and I was able to make coffee before we headed out for the day. There are generally 2 room category when you book… standard room/view and preferred room. Our room was a “preferred room,” which means it was located closer to the main hub, which includes shopping, the food court, and guest services/check in area. It also meant we were closer to the Disney buses. Can you save a few bucks staying in a standard view room? Yes, and my family often chooses that room option. However, sometimes the last thing you want is to walk a long way back to your room after you’ve walked the parks all day.
Depending on your resort and what your park plans are, it might make more sense to stay in a standard view room (or preferred room) I know the ins and outs and can give you pros and cons to both options.
All in all, it was a great experience at that resort.

Girls trip at Disney?!?! Yes, please!! I just booked a trip for 3 lovely ladies who will spend a week at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, go to all 4 theme parks, and eat all the yummy food.
Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my favorite moderate level resorts because it has access to Disney's Skyliner. You can be at the gates of Hollywood Studios and EPCOT in half the time it takes to wait for buses. They also have an amazing pool for those relaxing resort days.
They are staying in a room with a 5th sleeper, so I may just have to ask them to pack me along as a stowaway.

One of the most common questions I am asked is, "How hot is it going to be when I go to Disney World?" My answer is almost always, "Hot. It is going to be hot."
Yes, there are times of year that are better in regards to heat in central Florida. I have worn everything from a sweatshirt to a thin tank top while visiting the parks, and sometimes that is within the same trip. :) The weather is unpredictable, but you can almost always bet on SOME part of your trip being HOT.
Here are some air conditioned spaces you can find in EPCOT. If you find yourself needing a break from the sun, use this as a guide and go to the nearest place to relax.
No matter if it is hot OR cold, my BIGGEST tip is to SLOW DOWN, TAKE BREAKS, and DRINK WATER. Your body will thank you... I promise.

I just booked a vacation for a sweet family to be at Walt Disney World during New Years weekend. The parks are always magical, but the feeling you get when you’re surrounded by what seems like all of creation 😆 counting down to the New Year, and the celebration of EVERYONE around you is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
My family has had the opportunity to experience New Year’s Eve in Magic Kingdom. Disney has a special fireworks show just for New Years, and they are the best fireworks I have ever seen. They were breathtaking. Robert’s uncle got this amazing picture that just might be my favorite picture of Cinderella Castle.
Do you wanna go to Disney? Everyone asks, “Kim… you’re going again?!” Yes, yes I am. I cannot describe the feeling to you when I’m there with my family. It’s just the best. I want to plan that for you, too!
