OMG. We are bombarded with free offers. What a kind and generous world we live in. Now that we are empty nesters, Hank and I (Betsy) are going to follow up, test our inner cynics, and see what's behind curtain number 1 (and if you get that reference, I love you). The process has a lot of hoops, but I'm willing to work for it.
Hoop one: Sit through an hour and a half at The Radisson in Chatsworth. Dave presents with a slide show the advantages, perks, and savings of paying 11k for a travel club. (post presentation sales reps offer 8k, then 5k if we sign on the spot) Or we can be shortsighted and take our free trip to Catalina, our reward for our time given. We are notoriously shortsighted.
Hoop 2: Send our form by snail mail (hello last century-wait till they hear about the metaverse) to Casablanca Express with a 'fully refundable $50 validation deposit.' (My curiosity is worth $50)
