The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, located in Ponce Inlet, Florida, was completed in 1887 and is the tallest lighthouse in Florida.
The lighthouse originally featured a first-order Fresnel lens, which is the largest and most powerful type of Fresnel lens. It has a range of approximately 17 nautical miles or 31 kilometers.
However, in 1933, it was replaced with a more modern rotating electric beacon. The original Fresnel lens is now on display in the lighthouse museum.
A rare turtle sighting late morning in Anna Maria Island. It’s a magical place.

AMI Beach Renourishment Project 2020
The Anna Maria Island beach restoration project has reached the Brandenton Beach Club.
In another week or so we will have fresh, white, fluffy sand on an extended beachfront. Can wait to see the wider beach area by the condo.
