What do you go on holiday for?

We love to mix it up and soak in the local history & culture as well as some much needed R&R.

Siena makes the perfect day trip if staying in central Tuscany. The cathedral is smaller than the famous one in Florence, but arguably more impressive on the inside, with much shorter queues! A not so hidden gem!

A few weeks ago we escaped to the Chianti region of Italy for some much needed R&R, and our last holiday as a two 🤍

We’ve been quietly focusing on our next chapter, but couldn’t not post about the amazing which was only 5 minutes drive from our cottage. Easily the best meal we had in Italy, we treated ourselves to the tasting menu. The portion size was big and the service impeccable. A family owned and run restaurant with views to die for. What a hidden gem.

After a considerable hiatus, we’re so pleased to be back!

A quiet and reflective start to 2023 has given us time to assess what experiences we want to invest in this year.
Being near rolling hills and within reach of water always gives us the true sense of relaxation we crave from our time away. With that in mind, we’ve booked our first trip of the year to Northumberland and we can’t wait!
